Thrilling motorsport with a celebrity guest appearance as well as a new mix of music, trade fair and festival - the season highlight of the European Truck Championship will attract over 100,000 fans to the Nürburgring from 13 to 16 July 2023. Advance ticket sales for this top event have started. For more than three decades, the Eifel has been dominated by truck racing every third weekend in July. Hardly any other event at the Nürburgring promises visitors as much variety as the International ADAC Truck Grand Prix, which this year presents itself with an extended supporting programme. Whether motorsport fan, festival devotee, professional truck driver or trade visitor - there is something for the whole family at the 36th edition. "Motorsport, entertainment, sustainability and innovation - that's what the ADAC Truck Grand Prix stands for, which also marks a season highlight in the European motorsport calendar. We expect around 50,000 day visitors who can look forward to a spectacular weekend full of action and entertainment," says Marc Hennerici, Managing Director of the organiser ADAC Travel & Event Mittelrhein GmbH. The focus of the sporting part is on the heats of the Goodyear FIA European Truck Racing Championship, where Europe's best truck racers compete against each other. Top drivers such as Jochen Hahn, Sascha Lenz and Norbert Kiss will engage in a thrilling battle for valuable European Championship points on the legendary Eifel circuit and offer the fans motorsport to touch, just like the French championship, which will again make a guest appearance at the Ring as in 2022. Motorsport up close: FIA ETRC & GT MastersWith another prominent guest appearance, two motorsport worlds will meet this year: for the first time since 2012, the popular ADAC GT Masters racing series will make a pit stop at the Truck Grand Prix. The super sports cars from manufacturers such as Lamborghini, Mercedes-AMG, Porsche or McLaren, 550 hp strong and 250 km/h fast at the Nürburgring, will meet race trucks with 1,000 hp and a top speed limit of 160 km/h. As different as the performance, as sustainable the fuel: both racing series rely on alternative energies such as hydrogenated vegetable oil (HVO) with which CO2 emissions can be reduced by up to 90 per cent. Top decision-makers at one of the largest commercial vehicle trade fairsOne of the largest industrial fairs in the commercial vehicle sector will take place in the adjacent exhibition park throughout the weekend. National and international truck manufacturers, suppliers and hauliers will present themselves to the public on around 10,000 square metres. It's finally starting again - under the new claim "we make your heart race", the Nürburgring is entering the new event season. Great emotions await professionals, amateurs and spectators at around 50 events from the genres of motorsport, music and sport. Highlights include the ADAC TotalEnergies 24h Nürburgring and the 12h Nürburgring of the Nürburgring Endurance Series as well as the 50th anniversary of the Oldtimer-Grand-Prix, the mega festival Rock am Ring or sporting events such as Rad am Ring or the Hotfoot Run. And even beyond the events, there will again be an extensive range of leisure and adventure activities. As usual, the Nürburgring Endurance Series will do the honours for the season premiere in 2023. On 18 March, the lights will turn green for the first time. The NLS will shake the Green Hell a total of eight times. On the combination of sprint track and Nordschleife, the large field of starters in the Green Hell will once again be at full throttle - with the entire automotive diversity from near-series racing cars to full-blown GT3 bolides. After a two-year break, the Race Trucks will be back on the grid at the Nürburgring this weekend from July 15 to 17. ADAC Truck Grand Prix is one of eight races of the Goodyear FIA European Truck Racing Championship and, with its mix of motorsport, exhibition and festival, is also the season highlight of the series. This year, for the first time, race trucks from the French championship (FFSA Championnat de France Camions) will also be competing in the Mittelrhein Cup. A premiere will also be celebrated by the new series for LMP3 and sports prototypes in Germany, Prototype Cup Germany. Unfortunately we have to cancel the Goodyear FIA ETRC test days on April 4/5 due to weather conditions. The race track at the Nürburgring is currently not passable due to snow, ice and slippery conditions. Due to the unclear weather situation and the long journey of our international teams, we have already decided to take this step today. We have also intensively searched for an alternative date, but to our regret the current race calendar does not allow this.

The Nürburgring kicks off the season. In 2022, the versatile event location will once again offer the entire event portfolio with engine sounds, guitar tones and endurance sports. Finally, the focus is back on the fan experience. At the ADAC TotalEnergies 24h-Nürburgring, the unique party atmosphere will return to the Green Hell for the 50th anniversary, and at Rock am Ring thousands of festival visitors will finally celebrate together again. Those who want to feel like a racing driver themselves this year are also in good hands at the Nürburgring. The training sessions for everyone with the new Formula 4 cars provide unique memories. Despite the different event formats, thrilling motorsport is still the focus at the legendary race track. The racing series and vehicles are characterised by an enormous variety. Impressive race trucks, such as at the ADAC Truck Grand Prix, are just as much a part of the experience as international top-class sport in the DTM or the ADAC GT Masters. Meanwhile, the FIA World RX of Germany is a fully electric event with plenty of power under the bonnet. On the other hand, vehicles from all eras of motorsport await at a wide variety of classic car events such as the AvD-Oldtimer-Grand-Prix or the ADAC 1000-km-Race. Those who prefer to experience racing on two wheels will also find exciting dates in the calendar. The traditional start of the season for bikers, the "Anlassen" motorbike service, will also be held again in 2022. The emotional conclusion here is the joint parade of all participants over the legendary Nordschleife. At sporting events like Rad am Ring and the StrongmanRun, on the other hand, there is no performance measured in horsepower. Here, the participants only use their own muscle power. A day at full throttle at the Nürburgring Driving AcademyFor all those who not only want to experience goosebump moments at events, but also want to put their foot down themselves, the Nürburgring also has an innovation in its programme. In future, participants in the Nürburgring Driving Academy training sessions will sit in ultra-modern Formula 4 cars. With breathtaking cornering speeds and explosive acceleration - from 0 to 100 km/h: 2.9 seconds - they will race around the Grand Prix Track. The almost 1500-hp race trucks will prepare for their season on Monday, 4 and Tuesday, 5 April. They will not meet again until the Int. ADAC Truck-Grand-Prix at the Nürburgring (15 to 17 July), where they will compete for points for the championship. The extent to which spectators can be present on the grandstands or even in the paddock during the test days will be decided shortly. Our district of Ahrweiler and many parts of the Eife are in state of emergencyl. In these difficult hours, when suffering, loss and uncertainty dominate, we are pulling together as a region. All available rescue forces as well as many employees and technical equipment of the Nürburgring are in the region to help where help can be given. Our thoughts are with the people who have lost relatives and friends. To people, who have lost all their belongings. Due to the current emergency situation, the Int. The 35th edition of the International ADAC Truck-Grand-Prix 2021 will be held from 16 to 18 July as a hybrid event with spectators at the Nürburgring – with thrilling motorsport and digital offers. The personalised and seating-accurate tickets for the motorsport highlight are now available online. The rheinland-pfälzische state government recently approved the Nürburgring as aModel project for events with spectators outdoors. The contactless hygiene concept for spectators developed by the Nürburgring has already made it possible for the ADAC 24h Race to be held successfully on open stands. At the International ADAC Truck Grand Prix, visitors will also be able to follow the race along the start and finish straight. Admission is restricted to those who have been tested, cured and vaccinated. “For the race weekend, we have created an event concept that combines the best of both worlds – physical and digital.
