By foot, by bike, in your own car, in a classic car or by bus: everyone can experience the Nürburgring in their own way. One of the highlights: The Green Hell Driving Days for passionate car and motorcycle drivers. This year, these special tourist drives take place on the Whitsun weekend (May 18 - 20). Meanwhile, if you want to conquer the route with muscle power, the cycling and running club is the right place for you. If you want to take your own classic car out for a spin, you can do so as part of the After Work Classics on the Grand Prix circuit. And if you want a real racing driver to explain the Green Hell up close, there is the Trackwalk Nordschleife.  Tourist drives and Green Hell Driving DaysThe Green Hell Driving Days attract Nordschleife fans from all over the world to the Eifel every year. Three days of tourist driving in a row are a good reason for a visit, especially for international Ring enthusiasts. And so, from May 18 to 20, license plates from all over the world will once again be seen on the Nordschleife. A Whitsun visit to the Nürburgring is definitely worthwhile - even if you just want to watch and soak up the atmosphere. This year, the Nürburgring is also extending its evening sessions on the Grand Prix circuit for tourist drives. On three Mondays - May 13, June 17 and August 26 as well as a Wednesday, September 25 - the Grand Prix circuit opens in the evening (6 to 8 p.m.) exclusively for cars that are at least 30 years old. Experience the legend up closeAt the cycling and running event, the Green Hell is conquered with muscle power. Cyclists and runners can test themselves on the Nordschleife and Grand Prix circuit. Seven events are scheduled this year - especially many of them before Rad am Ring. Cyclists like to use them as preparation for the big two-wheel event Rad am Ring from July 19 to 21. Easter 2024 at the Nürburgring

27.03.2024

There is something for everyone at the Nürburgring around Easter: As is well known, the weekend is traditionally dominated by tourist drives. From Good Friday (March 29) up to and including Easter Monday (April 1), the Nordschleife and Grand Prix circuit open their doors to everyone every day. In addition, there is plenty to experience at the Nürburgring as a destination around Easter and the subsequent vacation period. An overview:Four days of tourist driving in a row: Easter is traditionally also a festival for Nürburgring enthusiasts. Both the Nordschleife and the Grand Prix circuit are open to everyone. Cars and motorcyclists can take to the legendary asphalt all day long - subject to road traffic regulations. Further information on the tourist rides can be found here. But there are also numerous HeartRace moments at the Nürburgring destination off the track at Easter and during the subsequent vacation period: experience family fun on the ring°kart track, marvel at historical exhibits in the ring°werk adventure museum, admire fascinating digital action in the Nürburgring eSports Bar or try on the new Nürburgring collection in the fan store. There is something to experience every day around the ring°boulevard on the Grand Prix Track.  And because all this makes you hungry and thirsty: numerous restaurants at the Nürburgring will make tired men, moms and mini-racing fans feel lively again. Opposite the ring°boulevard, guests are spoiled for choice: LUCIA - Pollo Italiano serves dolce vita and fresh chicken made to an Italian recipe, while the Bitburger Gasthaus next door offers home-style cooking and an outdoor terrace with a great view. The view from the Devil's Diner is at least as good: located on the access road to the Nordschleife on the outskirts of Nürburg, visitors have a perfect view of the action during the tourist races at Easter.

Nürburgring prepared for rush of visitors on Good Friday

22.03.2024

All over Germany, car enthusiasts gather in various public places on Good Friday to share their passion. At the Nürburgring, a large crowd is expected again this year when thousands of visitors gather around the track. The Nürburgring operating company is deploying a team of over 150 stewards, security staff and traffic wardens to support the measures and visitor management of the public order office and the police. A central aspect of the close cooperation is the protection of the region and nature from excessive noise and waste. Although there is no event at the Nürburgring on Good Friday, thousands of people come. The fascination of the world-famous race track has also made it a popular destination for tuners on this day. For the Nürburgring, the public order office and the police, there is therefore one thing above all else on the agenda: to control and educate the many visitors accordingly and to punish any infringements. In order to relieve traffic and the local areas, the B412 will be closed in coordination with those responsible at Nürburgring 1927 GmbH & Co. KG, Landesbetrieb Mobilität, the Ahrweiler district administration and the Mayen police headquarters, the B412 will be opened to through traffic. However, depending on capacity utilization in the Brünnchen and Pflanzgarten areas, traffic may be temporarily closed and diverted. In addition, various traffic circles will be set up so that only straight through traffic is possible. Extensive parking facilities along the Nordschleife and Grand Prix TrackThe Nürburgring will provide extensive parking facilities around the circuit in order to reduce congestion as much as possible. Almost all parking spaces in the A zone near the Grand Prix circuit are open, as well as additional parking spaces in the B zone if required. On the Nordschleife, in addition to the best-known Brünnchen and Pflanzgarten parking lots, other areas in the Schwalbenschwanz and, if all parking areas in Adenau are full, other spaces in the Adenauer Forst will also be open. A large contingent of stewards and additional security personnel will also monitor the ban on barbecues and camping. Traffic violations will be consistently punishedOverall, a high volume of traffic is to be expected in the area of the main access roads to the Nürburgring, in the town of Adenau and in the surrounding villages. The police will be focusing on possible traffic violations, paying particular attention to road safety and vehicle compliance as well as driver behavior. The message from the law enforcement officers is clear: anyone who behaves "out of line" must expect consequences. These may include all-day bans, vehicle seizures or, in individual cases, confiscation of driving licenses. Illegal parking outside designated areas will ultimately lead to the vehicle being towed away for a fee. An overview of the open parking areas: Parking areas Grand Prix Track: A2, A6, A7, A8, A9, A10, B zone if required Parking areas Nordschleife: Brünnchen P96 Pflanzgarten (P97+P98) Schwalbenschwanz P100 Adenauer Forst (opens when all parking areas in Adenau are full)
