The DTM at the Ring, 500 racing cars at the Oldtimer Grand Prix, daily fascination and fun during the summer holidays: In August, there are once again numerous highlights for racing fans young and old at the Nürburgring. In addition to the two major events, the DTM (4 - 6 August) and the Oldtimer Grand Prix (11 - 13 August), there is another special highlight: The big Nürburgring Family Day with free admission on Sunday, 20 August.

DTM | Friday, 04 - Sunday, 06 August
With around 30 cars from various manufacturers, three days full of racing action and a ring favourite, the DTM will make a guest appearance at the Nürburgring this year. The races will again be held on the spectator-friendly sprint version of the Grand Prix circuit. In the grandstands, many will certainly be rooting for the well-known Grello Porsche. The record winner of the 24-hour race (Manthey-EMA) will travel to the Eifel as DTM championship leader for its home race - with Thomas Preining at the wheel of the 911 GT3 R. Two main races, numerous supporting series and a colourful programme next to the track including a fan zone await the visitors. Tickets - including access to the paddock and pitwalk - are available from 39 euros.
Oldtimer Grand Prix | Friday, 11 - Sunday, 13 August
Big anniversary of a legendary event: The Oldtimer Grand Prix celebrates its 50th anniversary. And it will be celebrated in style with historic Formula 1 cars, fireworks and a real Le Mans start. Classic car fans can look forward to twelve racing classes as well as fascinating demonstration drives. All in all, the organisers expect around 500 historic racing cars to be present at the weekend - including legends from Ferrari, Maserati, Jaguar, Aston Martin and many others. Formula cars and touring cars from different eras can be marvelled at on and off the race track. As well as racing cars that are around 100 years old, which are only rarely seen at racing events. Tickets entitle the holder to access all grandstands and the paddock and are available from 35 euros.
Nürburgring Family Day | Sunday, 20 August
A highlight of the summer holidays is the Nürburgring Family Day, which will take place for the first time on Sunday, 20 August, with free admission. From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., numerous children's attractions await in the ring°boulevard - for example, rides on a mini Grand Prix track, a bouncy castle, free candyfloss and much more. In addition, all visitors can visit the Nürburgring Museum ring°werk and the BMW M-Power Grandstand free of charge. Also on the programme: TikTok and Youtube star Jannik Freestyle, who will be performing his famous football tricks. At the family festival organised in cooperation with the Rhein-Zeitung, the mascots will also be right up front. The Nürburgring fox "Legend" and the Rhein-Zeitung bee "Summi" will be available for souvenir photos.
Holiday fun at the Nürburgring
Even beyond the family festival, a visit to the legendary race track is worthwhile throughout the summer holidays. Every day, great offers await families - such as fast laps in the ring°kartbahn or in the eSports Bar. Backstage tours offer an exclusive look behind the scenes of the Nürburgring several times a day. The motorsport adventure museum ring°werk offers a family-friendly mix of leisure attractions, educational exhibits and breathtaking racing cars. The ring°kino provides a cinematic conclusion to a visit to the Nürburgring.
