The Nürburgring operating company and Goodyear are continuing their partnership. The US company thus remains the official tyre partner of the Nürburgring. In addition, it retains advertising space and naming rights to sections of the Grand Prix Track as well as a VIP lounge above the pit lane. The successful cooperation has now been in place for 13 years.
Under the terms of the agreement, Goodyear will continue to be called the "Official Tyre Partner" of the Nürburgring. The Driving Academy, the ring°kartbahn, the Nürburgring Offroadpark as well as all service and company cars will be equipped.
"With Goodyear, we have a high-performance partner who stands for quality and performance," explains Christian Stephani, Managing Director of Nürburgring 1927 GmbH & Co. KG. "We are pleased to be able to continue a partnership that has grown over many years and to benefit from it together."
Goodyear turn and Goodyear brace
In addition to the tyre partnership, Goodyear is also continuing other commitments. The famous 180-degree bend in the Müllenbachschleife will continue to be called Goodyear-Kehre, and when the sprint version of the Grand Prix Track is driven, the cars will use the Goodyear-Spange. Advertising installations - such as the distinctive time tower in the Goodyear-Kehre - also underline the strong ties between the legendary race track and the successful tyre brand. Another visible sign of the intensive cooperation is the Nürburgring partner logo, which Goodyear uses in its communication.
"The Nürburgring is the perfect terrain for our tyres and a great flagship," explains Dr André Weisz, Managing Director Consumer DACH at Goodyear. "Here we develop and test our high-end products and also see them in racing use on the track. In addition, the Nürburgring's participants and employees benefit from the quality - whether during formula training sessions, on the ring°kart track or during rides with the company cars."
VIP lounge above the pit lane
Part of the partnership is also the presence directly at the start and finish, where the Goodyear VIP Lounge forms an attractive event location above the pit lane. It guarantees guests and customers a great all-round view of the action. In particular, the VIP Lounge's wrap-around balcony is popular with visitors for views of the thrilling action of various races such as the Nürburgring Endurance Series or the ADAC TotalEnergies 24h Nürburgring.
