The DTM will be launched under the umbrella of the ADAC from 2023 as the pinnacle of a strong German motorsport platform.
Following the acquisition of the DTM brand rights, the ADAC is using synergies to create future-oriented and sustainable structures for the top classes on the circuit.
In doing so, the DTM will continue to be the spearhead for professionals in the future. The ADAC will continue the successful concept and stick to the features that have defined the DTM brand for almost 40 years. The format with one driver per car and two rounds per event will remain. Tyre changes will continue to be a race-decisive factor: during the performance pit stops, the teams will fight for every tenth of a second. From 2023, standard tyres will be supplied by the premium manufacturer and Formula 1 supplier Pirelli. The recognised vehicle classification of the SRO Motorsports Group ensures equal opportunities in the field of participants.
