The Nürburgring Family Day continues to be a success story: This year, around 20,000 visitors flocked to the iconic race track to enjoy the event.
The ring°boulevard was filled with excitement as the free XXL program—featuring social media stars, mascots, and hands-on activities—brought joy to children and created unforgettable HeartRace moments for everyone. After last year’s successful debut and the overwhelming enthusiasm for this year's event, it's already confirmed: In addition to its major motorsport, music, and sports events, the Nürburgring will once again host Family Day in 2025.
"Raise your arms and cheer together!" called out host Ralf Schwoll from the stage. Joined by seven mascots, children and adults followed along eagerly. Nürburgring’s racing fox Legend, RPR1’s cool bear, Summi from the Rhein-Zeitung, Sharky from the Cologne Sharks, lemur Katta, and flamingo Ingo from schauinsland-reisen, along with Mini Monti from monte mare, created a memorable photo moment that encapsulated the spirit of the day. The 2024 Family Day once again offered fun and entertainment for all ages. Social media star Jannik Freestyle wowed the crowd with his tricks, while an interactive quiz hosted by Lena from the popular YouTube channel "Kinderfragen," cheerleader performances, and thrilling trial shows kept everyone entertained.
Beyond the stage acts, there were plenty of interactive attractions for visitors to explore: At the "ring°kids Grand Prix," the youngest fans raced around in Bobby Cars, while older kids showcased their skills at the "Polo Kids Drift Academy." Guests could also sit in a real Formula race car or try out the Nürburgring eSports Bar’s racing simulator. A surf simulator, puck-shooting at a hockey goal, exploring emergency vehicles from the Red Cross, police, and fire departments, a balance bike course, face painting, lucky wheels, and a panoramic view of the race track from the BMW M Power Tribune rounded off the day’s free activities.
Additionally, Nürburgring’s other attractions were a hit throughout the day. Families explored the interactive motorsport museum ring°werk, got exclusive behind-the-scenes glimpses during an exciting backstage tour, and experienced thrilling laps at the ring°kart track.
Families can now look forward to the third edition next year, with the Nürburgring set to announce the exact date in advance.
