Successful premiere of the Nürburgring Family Day: 20,000 visitors young and old experienced an action-packed day at the versatile event location. Whether at the offers in the ring°boulevard including the shows by Jannik Freestyle and Clown Olli, at the mixture of history and hands-on offers in the ring°werk adventure museum or on the BMW M Power grandstand at the Grand Prix Track, which was open to all. All hell broke loose everywhere.
Families spent the whole day at the various attractions, marvelling at the show acts or admiring the racing cars on the Grand Prix circuit. There was a lot on offer at the big and free family day at the Nürburgring: On the children's driving course, the kids competed with kettcars - the smaller ones whizzed around the specially built track with bobby cars right next door. There was a lot of fun on the bouncy castles and the children were amazed by the equipment and the flashing blue lights on the emergency vehicles of the German Red Cross, the fire brigade and the police. The mascots were available as popular photo motifs: the Nürburgring fox "Legend", the bee "Summi" from the Rhein-Zeitung and the RPR1 bear including sunglasses.
Also in great demand: the motorsport experience museum ring°werk and the many exhibits and hands-on activities. Meanwhile, the visitors were able to do fast racing laps in the driving simulators of the Nürburgring eSports bar or at the motorbike driving school "Kids Drift". The BMW M Power grandstand was open free of charge for a look at real racing cars, and the Nürburgring Driving Academy also made it possible to test drive a Formula racer. Meanwhile, the Bitburger Gasthaus and the Lucia Restaurant in the ring°carré were popular for the necessary refreshments.
The star of the day was football acrobat Jannik Freestyle, who thrilled visitors young and old with his tricks. And clown Olli also provided great moments with various walking acts and magic shows.
"This successful premiere and the many families who experienced a great day here make us happy and at the same time confirm how attractive the offers of the Family Destination Nürburgring are," sums up press spokesman Alexander Gerhard. "This makes us very much want to continue next year."
