Kick-off to the two-wheeler season at the Nürburgring: Thousands of bikers expected at events

23.03.2023

The Nürburgring is firmly in the hands of the bikers: On Sunday, 2 April, the motorbike service "Anlassen" will take place. The traditional event promises to once again become the meeting place for thousands of motorcyclists from all over Germany and neighbouring countries. A colourful programme awaits in the Grand Prix paddock with music, exhibitors and demonstrations as well as the opportunity to take part in guided tourist rides on the Grand Prix circuit. The highlight will be the joint parade around the legendary Nordschleife. Admission to the event and participation in the parade are free. The event starts at 10 a.m.

This year's first innovation is already waiting before the event. In cooperation with "RideLink", visitors can download various routes for motorcyclists from the Nürburgring website. In addition, they can join groups via the RideLink app and travel together. Those who want to do a few laps of the sprint version of the Grand Prix circuit on their own bike can take part in the guided rides of the Dortmund Motorsport Club - registration for the offer is possible on site.

Throughout the day, there is a lot to experience in the Grand Prix paddock - for example, various demonstrations by the Rhineland-Palatinate state police, the German Red Cross, the driving safety centre or the motorbike brand POLO. The well-known supplier of motorbike clothing, accessories and technology will also present its own Kids World.

In addition, more than 25 exhibitors on the subject of motorbikes await the visitors. The Association of German Motorcyclists, the Emergency Chaplaincy and the Stefan Morsch Foundation, which is once again calling on people to register as potential lifesavers by giving a saliva sample, will also be present. The ADAC Mittelrhein also invites you to a panel discussion on the action stage of the Nürburgring at 12 noon - among others on the topics: "Manipulation of motorbikes - dangerous `optimisation'", "Bikers and tourism - what do sustainable concepts look like" or "Motorcycle noise - protection of residents vs. personal development." There will be a look behind the scenes at the open day at the Nürburgring Medical Centre.

At 3 p.m. all bikers will receive the blessing of Auxiliary Bishop Jörg Michael Peters, Pastor Klaus Kohnz and Pastor Claudia Rössling-Marenbach at the ecumenical church service before the final parade over the Nordschleife at 4:15 p.m.
