BMW is the new official vehicle partner of the Nürburgring. The service and track safety vehicles for the race track employees will come from the Bavarian car manufacturer at least until 2026. In addition to the existing commitment of the BMW M performance brand at the Nürburgring, the vehicle partnership that has now been agreed represents a further expansion of the collaboration and BMW's presence at the legendary race track.
In a first step, a total of 25 new BMWs will strengthen the Nürburgring fleet. Nine of them will be on the track in the future as part of track safety. Eight BMW 330i xDrive Touring and one BMW X1 xDrive23i will be used on the Nordschleife and Grand Prix circuit to ensure safety. For this purpose, the vehicles are given a Nürburgring-specific, eye-catching design with warning elements so that they are clearly visible to all race track users at all times. For example, by tourist drivers or participants in the sports driver training sessions. In future, the 1 Series, 3 Series, X1 and X3 will be available to employees as company cars. In future, these will also be equipped with design elements of the Nürburgring silhouette and the Nürburgring logo, making them attractive figureheads of the versatile event location.
Nürburgring already home to the BMW M brand
The vehicle partnership is a further building block for the Bavarian car manufacturer at the Nürburgring. Nürburgring visitors, tourist drivers and television viewers know the BMW M performance brand only too well. Both the BMW M Power Grandstand on the Grand Prix circuit and the BMW M Bridge directly above the start and finish straight, as well as the advertising banner on the "old pit lane" along the Nordschleife, are visible from afar and are an integral part of the Nürburgring's image. In terms of driving activities, the car manufacturer is also one of the most intensive users of the race track with its Driving Experience. In 2021, BMW M also started to establish the Nürburgring as the home of the brand. The centerpiece of this cooperation, which will initially last until 2025, is the BMW M Showroom in the ring°boulevard, which opens to visitors to the Nürburgring on selected dates.
The motorsport season at the Nürburgring starts on March 16. Whether on or off the race track. BMW will definitely be clearly visible.
