At the last works meeting in 2024, Nürburgring 1927 GmbH & Co. KG honored a total of 35 employees for their many years of service at the Nürburgring. Together, the honorees bring nearly 500 years of experience at the legendary race track and event location – a combination of tradition, solidarity, and diverse careers, some of which began here with their training. The honors were bestowed by managing directors Christian Stephani and Ingo Böder, head of HR Michael Dürbaum and chair of the works council Sylvia Magor.
From five years to three decades – the range of anniversaries and years of service at the Nürburgring not only illustrates the high level of loyalty of the employees, but also the diverse career paths. Whether in track service, facility management, accounting, marketing, IT or events – the anniversaries also represent the wide range of tasks at the Nürburgring with their numerous fields of activity.
This is also reflected in the longest-standing employees who were honored: Elvira Emmerichs from Financial Accounting and Michael Geuthner from Track Services can each look back on 25 years of service. Hans Zimmermann, Team Leader of Track Services, has been with the Nürburgring for five years longer: He has been working at the Nürburgring for a full 30 years. The annual tribute to long-standing employees is a tradition at the versatile event location and is a sign of the strong sense of community that characterizes work at the Ring.
“It is impressive to see how many colleagues have remained loyal to the Nürburgring for many years – some of them since their training. This shows that the Nürburgring is not only a special place for motorsport, but also for professional fulfillment and personal development,” emphasizes Head of Human Resources Michael Dürbaum. ”We are proud of the loyalty and commitment of our employees, who advance the Nürburgring every day with their dedication.”
