The title decision in the German GT Championship will be made today in the final race of the season at the Nürburgring. Audi drivers Ricardo Feller and Christopher Mies (both Land-Motorsport) scored their third victory in the penultimate race of the season thanks to a commanding performance, thus clearly extending their points lead. But before the final race, three driver pairings still have a chance of winning the title. Among them are the runners-up of the race, Mathieu Jaminet and Michael Ammermüller (SSR Performance).

Ricardo Feller laid the foundation for the championship leaders' victory in the first half of the race. After taking pole position in qualifying, he was pressed by second in the standings Luca Stolz (Mercedes-AMG Team Toksport WRT) at the start of the race, but then gradually built up a lead. At the driver change in the middle of the race, he was almost seven seconds ahead of Stolz. Partner Mies then brought the victory home without any problems. In the end, his lead was 3.490 seconds. Thanks to their triumph, Feller and Mies have a 17-point lead ahead of the final race of the season on Sunday, with a maximum of 28 still to be awarded on Sunday. Feller also took his sixth class win in the Pirelli Trophy standings for young drivers, in which he also leads the standings. Thanks to the victory, their racing team Montaplast by Land-Motorsport took the lead in the team standings.

While everything was clear at the top, the pit stops once again shook up the chasing positions. Porsche drivers Jaminet and Ammermüller were in third place in the first half of the race, but opted for an early driver change in the middle of the race. This paid off: The SSR drivers passed the Mercedes-AMG for second place, which they also took to the finish. This means that Jaminet and defending champion Ammermüller still have a chance of winning the title on Sunday. However, they are 25 points behind. Porsche drivers Christian Engelhart and Thomas Preining (Küs Team Bernhard) also got past the Mercedes-AMG of Stolz and Engel during the pit stop window and took their second podium of the season in third place. The Mercedes works drivers Stolz and Engel therefore had to settle for fourth place, but remain in second place in the standings. With a 17-point gap to the leaders, they remain their closest pursuers.
