Under the motto “40 Years of TGP – Celebrating Tradition. Shaping the Future,” fans can look forward to a spectacular motorsports weekend featuring a first-time event in this anniversary year: the German Truck Racing Champion will be crowned for the very first time.
“The new TGP Championship is celebrating its inaugural season this year and, following stops at the Hockenheimring and Lausitzring, will hold its grand finale at the Nürburgring. We are very much looking forward to the 40th anniversary with plenty of motorsport action, a festival atmosphere, and a trade fair,” says Rudi Speich, Chairman of ADAC Mittelrhein e.V.
The TGP Championship builds on the long-standing tradition of truck racing at the Nürburgring and brings the fascination of the sport to life through additional events far beyond the race weekend. “With new formats, a stronger appeal to younger target groups, and a closer connection to the commercial vehicle industry, the series is providing valuable momentum for motorsports,” emphasizes Rudi Speich.
Motorsport with a top-tier German lineup
Fans can look forward to thrilling races and a high-caliber field of competitors. Among those competing are top German drivers Sascha Lenz, Jochen Hahn, and Steffi Halm. Additionally, the ADAC GT Masters, featuring supercars from Lamborghini, Porsche, Mercedes-AMG, and McLaren, provides an impressive contrast to the powerful race trucks.
Industry Hub for Innovation and the Future
Parallel to the racing action, the paddock transforms into one of the commercial vehicle industry’s largest trade fairs. Across more than 10,000 square meters, manufacturers, suppliers, and logistics companies will present innovative technologies and sustainable mobility solutions.
Once again, a central meeting point for the industry is the ADAC/TÜV Rheinland Truck Symposium on Friday, July 10. Under the theme “The Future of Logistics: Who Drives? Who Takes Over? Who Supports?” experts will discuss current challenges surrounding the shortage of skilled workers, automation, transformation, and funding policies. Festival atmosphere at the Müllenbachschleife
The supporting program also promises a genuine festival atmosphere. The traditional Country Night on Friday will delight attendees with a special anniversary lineup: Country star Tom Astor and the cult band Truck Stop will provide the musical backdrop for a true Truck Grand Prix vibe.
On Saturday evening, the Müllenbachschleife will transform into a massive party area. Joining the lineup are international party legends Rednex (“Cotton Eye Joe”), Schürze with his mega-hit “Layla,” as well as Minnie Rock and Tommy Fieber.
The popular Retro Camp in the historic paddock adds to the festival atmosphere with live music, country flair, and a varied family program.
Whether it’s the trucker parade, the fan village, or the kids’ area with bounce houses and a duck rodeo—the TGP is an event for the whole family. Children up to and including twelve years of age receive free admission in all categories.
DKMS Campaign Sets an Example for Social Commitment
In addition to motorsports and entertainment, the Int. Shell ADAC Truck Grand Prix is once again making an important statement about social commitment this year. The DKMS (German Bone Marrow Donor Registry) donation mobile will be on site in the event arena on both days of the event. Visitors will have the opportunity to easily register as potential stem cell donors and perhaps save lives in the near future. The DKMS campaign will take place on Saturday, July 11, and Sunday, July 12, 2026, in the event area.
Tickets available starting at 10 euros
The International Shell ADAC Truck Grand Prix remains a family-friendly event in 2026 as well. Children under twelve receive free admission. The festival day ticket for Friday costs 10 euros, and 12.50 euros for Saturday. Event tickets start at 23 euros, and weekend tickets at 53 euros. Access to the festival area begins at 5:00 p.m. on both evenings. Tickets and further information are available here.
