Good Friday: Nürburgring supports police and public order office

13.04.2022

Good Friday is an unofficial holiday for the car tuner scene. All over Germany, enthusiasts gather at various public places. At the Nürburgring, too, several thousand visitors are expected to gather at the track on this day. The operating company of the race track is involved with an extensive contingent of stewards and security personnel to support the measures and visitor control of the public order office and the police. In close coordination with the authorities, the focus is also on protecting the region and nature from noise and litter.

Although there is no event at the Nürburgring on Good Friday, thousands come. The fascination of the world-famous race track has made it a popular destination for tuners on this day as well. For the Nürburgring, the public order office and the police, there is therefore one thing above all on the agenda: to control the many visitors accordingly, to educate them and, in the case of violations, to punish them.

In order to relieve the traffic and the localities, the B412 will be closed this year in coordination with the responsible persons of the Nürburgring 1927 GmbH & Co. KG, the Landesbetrieb Mobilität, the Ahrweiler district administration and the Mayen police department, the B412 will remain open to through traffic. The Nürburgring will provide support in the form of extensive parking facilities in order to make sufficient relief areas available and to reduce congestion as much as possible. A large number of stewards and additional security personnel will also monitor the absolute barbecue and camping ban.

Traffic violations will be punished consistently
Overall, a high volume of traffic is expected in the area of the main access roads to the Nürburgring, in the town of Adenau and in the surrounding villages. The police will focus on possible traffic violations - in particular on the traffic safety and the compliance of the vehicles as well as the behaviour of the drivers. The clear message from the law enforcers is that those who behave "badly" must expect consequences. These can be all-day expulsions, vehicle seizures or, in individual cases, confiscation of the driver's licence. Parking in violation of traffic regulations outside of designated areas will ultimately result in vehicles being towed away for a fee.

Easter holidays for Nürburgring fans big and small
Every day after Good Friday, Nürburgring fans will have the opportunity to take to the track on their own wheels during the tourist drives or to become a racing driver in the ring°kartbahn and in the eSports Bar. The ring°werk adventure museum shows all visitors the best moments from 95 years of the Nürburgring and also offers action-packed hands-on activities. Those who like live music and good food will be in good hands at the Easter Soul Brunch at the Nürburgring Congress Hotel. Furthermore, a visit to "LUCIA - il pollo italiano", the Bitburger Gasthaus or Devil's Diner is worthwhile.
