With motorsport, festival and more - these are the events in 2020

09.01.2020

Nürburg. The Nürburgring has presented its event calendar for the 2020 season. One thing is certain: Visitors to the race track can once again look forward to a varied mix of events next year. The focus continues to be on motorsport – above all on the traditional highlight, the ADAC TOTAL 24-Hour Race, which will take place on 21-24 May. In 2019, 230,000 people came to experience the race in the Green Hell. In addition to the endurance classic, a new event promises particularly entertaining action on the race track: the FIA World Rallycross Championship on 1-2 August 2020. AvD Oldtimer Grand Prix, ADAC Truck Grand Prix, ADAC GT Masters, the Nürburgring Endurance Championship VLN and DTM are further flagships among the wide range of racing events.

Off the asphalt, the popular festival “Rock am Ring” will also step on the gas to celebrate its 35th anniversary. In addition to the headliners “System of a Down“, “Green Day“ and “Volbeat“, numerous other bands have already been confirmed. The New Horizons Festival, on the other hand, is no longer featured in the calendar. After three years of positive development and 80,000 visitors in 2019, the EDM event is taking a creative break to then start anew at another location. Meanwhile, Rad am Ring and the Fisherman’s Friend StrongmanRun will once more provide sporting challenges.

For the first time in 2020, the elite of darts will come to the Nürburgring. Record world champion Phil Taylor and other world-leading players will prove their skill on the board on 11 September 2020. There will also be various other indoor events, such as “NightWash Live” in March, which is already sold out, however.
