With the International ADAC TOTAL 24 hour Race at the Nürburgring from the 20th to the 23rd June approaching, the date for the official opening of the Nürburgring eSports Lounge in Eifeldorf Green Hell is also coming up.
Motor sports at the highest level will be perceptible there on around 300 m². To ensure that, full-motion simulators which are simulating G forces, track conditions and vehicle movements have been developed in cooperation with racing drivers.
 
The newly founded Nürburgring eSports GmbH & Co. KG is organizing the so-called "Nürburgring eSports Challenge" as part of the opening of the lounge. From June 20th at 6 p.m. until June 23rd at 3 p.m., professionals, amateurs and fans will be able to enjoy a completely new and realistic driving experience.
The Challenge will be held with the DRseven©, the first Adrenalin eSports simulator. It was developed exclusively for the franchise network and is designed and produced with seven actuators and six degrees of freedom (DOF).
 
The resulting driving experience is extremely realistic and should make you feel every bump in the road just like in a real race car. The Nordschleife, for example, becomes an adrenaline rush for every Simracer. For a participation fee of 15 Euro there will be a fan package with T-shirt, lanyard, bumper sticker, free drink and above all 10 minutes simulator drive.
The Hot Lap procedure is used to determine who drove the fastest laps of the opening weekend. A prize of 15,000 Euro will be distributed to the 15 fastest riders at the end of the Challenge. Well-known participants of the opening and the eSports Challenge include Jan Seyffarth, the Williams F1 eSports Team and the Sorg eSport Team.
  
Virtual motorsport will be firmly anchored at the Nürburgring as a new strategic business segment. Responsible for this is the newly founded Nürburgring eSports GmbH & Co. KG, which will focus on various aspects of virtual motorsport. These include the regional and national promotion of young talents as well as clearly structured, worldwide online competitions for leisure drivers, amateurs and professionals.
  
The multi-million project is a joint venture of Nürburgring 1927 GmbH & Co. KG, the ADAC Regionalclubs Mittelrhein, Niedersachsen/Sachsen Anhalt and Hessen-Thüringen as well as VLN VV GmbH & Co. KG and Adrenalin GmbH.
  
With all its virtuality, the eSports Lounge also becomes a real social meeting place - with numerous live broadcasts of real sporting events, a merchandise shop, the Nürburgring Ticket Service and many other highlights and offers.
