Four-time Formula 1 World Champion Sebastian Vettel will take to the legendary Nordschleife for a show run in one of his championship-winning cars as part of the 12h Nürburgring (9-10 September). The 35-year-old from Heppenheim is thus the second announced top star of the Red Bull Formula Nürburgring, alongside Daniel Ricciardo, to add to this year's season highlight of the Nürburgring Endurance Series.
Vettel, who won four consecutive Formula One world titles with Red Bull from 2010 to 2013, has strong roots at the Nürburgring. In 2013, he took his first Grand Prix victory on the Eifel circuit. Ten years later, he is now back to take on the challenge of the 'Green Hell'. His world champion car has a special feature: The RB7 is being converted to run on e-fuels especially for this event. Vettel wants to set an example: "Motorsport is my passion. It is important for me to show that racing cars can run just as well and fast on synthetic, i.e. CO2-neutral fuel. And that already today!"
At Red Bull Formula Nürburgring in early September, legendary greats of motorsport on two and four wheels are expected in the Eifel.
