Spectacular line-up and superstars at Rock am Ring 2024

02.11.2023

Rock am Ring and Rock im Park announce the entire line-up in one fell swoop for the first time in their history. With this, The Rocks set standards and deliver the highlight of the 2024 open-air season.

Already one year before the big 2025 anniversary editions, 40 years of Rock am Ring and 30 years of Rock im Park, Germany's biggest twin festival celebrates 2024 with a spectacular line-up that not only relies on untouchable legends and widely known acts representing the sound of the hour, but in a very special way on an exclusivity that will probably not be encountered a second time in European festival culture next year.

The US punk rockers Green Day can already look back on two anniversaries next year: At their highly exclusive performances at Rock am Ring and Rock im Park, they will not only celebrate the 30th anniversary of their timelessly perfect album "Dookie", which is still one of the most important punk releases of all time, but also the 20th anniversary of their no less successful milestone "American Idiot".

But you won't be able to see other headliners at any other German festival in the coming year. These include "The best band in the world", Die Ärzte, who will otherwise only be able to bring their catchy melodies and sing-along lyrics to the stage in Berlin in 2024, as well as the international shooting stars Måneskin, who, after sold-out stadium and arena shows worldwide, will only be able to be seen live in Germany next year at Ring und Park.

The headliner line-up will be completed by metal legends Avenged Sevenfold and the undisputed kings of stoner rock, Queens Of The Stone Age, who will both play exclusive festival shows, as well as Australian metalcore stars and crowd favorites Parkway Drive. The Broilers will celebrate their 30th band anniversary at Ring and Park. Canadian punk and alternative rock heroes Billy Talent and Chemnitz live high-flyers Kraftklub are also among the acts you won't see live anywhere else in Germany in 2024.

In addition, absolute superstars with special projects will come to the twin festival: Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor, who will present songs by Slipknot and Stone Sour in addition to his solo work. Volbeat frontman Michael Poulsen, who will give an impression of his powerful Side Project as guitarist of Asinhell. Hollywood star Keanu Reeves finally graces German stages with his band Dogstar after a break of many years. Deftones frontman Chino Moreno is at the start with his celebrated side project ††† (Crosses) and rapper/actor Ice-T with Body Count.

Festival-exclusive only at Rock am Ring and Rock im Park, many other artists* will perform in 2024, including from the sector of hard rock and metal sounds, for example, the bands of the hour Electric Callboy, Bad Omens and Beartooth. The Japanese high-flyers Babymetal will also be performing nationwide only at the Rocks.

With folk-punk veterans Dropkick Murphys as well as Sondaschule, Donots, who are celebrating their 30th anniversary, The Interrupters and Pennywise, punk rock is not neglected either. Oldschool heroes like Machine Head, Kreator, Biohazard, Fear Factory and Hatebreed with their exclusive festival appearances round off the heavy program.

But hip-hop, which is traditionally part of the rich line-up, will not be neglected either: With the signing of German rap high-flyer Trettmann as well as the Antilopen Gang around the now also solo successful artist Danger Dan, there are absolute highlights in the line-up.

311, Against The Current, Atreyu, Betontod, Blackout Problems, Cemetery Sun, Counterparts, Enter Shikari, Fit For A King, Guano Apes, Hanabie, Heriot, James And The Cold Gun, Jazmin Bean, Kvelertak, Landmvrks, Leoniden, L.S.. Dunes, Madsen, Malevolence, Mudvayne, Neck Deep, Of Mice & Men, Pendulum, Pinkshift, Polyphia, Querbeat (only at Rock am Ring), Royal Blood, Royal Republic, Scene Queen, Schimmerling, Skindred, Team Scheisse, The Last Internationale, The Scratch, Thy Art Is Murder, Underoath, Wanda, Wargasm, While She Sleeps round out the festival lineup.

To further promote the incomparable community feeling at the festival, the camping offer at Rock am Ring will be optimized. Additional areas will be made available for Green Camping, which is becoming increasingly popular. The popular option to park the car next to the tent will be expanded. In addition, the Hatzenbach area, which is popular with the Ringrockers*, will finally be used again. In addition, a limited contingent of Utopia Stage camping plots will be offered in the immediate vicinity of the main stage. Glamping options will go on sale in mid-November with the Experience Camp.

From June 7-9, 2024, Rock am Ring will take place at the Nürburgring in the Eifel region of Germany.
