TÜV Rheinland and Nürburgring operator extend partnership early until 2027

04.04.2023

TÜV Rheinland and the Nürburgring are sending a strong signal for their continued cooperation: the contract, which actually runs until 2024, has now been extended by both partners ahead of schedule by three years until 2027. Dr Matthias Schubert, Executive Vice President Mobility at TÜV Rheinland and the two Managing Directors of Nürburgring 1927 GmbH & Co. KG, Christian Stephani and Ingo Böder, signed the contract extension.

The contract includes the naming and advertising rights for the tower and the service centre directly at the Grand Prix Track. The name TÜV Rheinland Tower with logo and lettering on the building will make the testing service provider noticeable in a prominent position. The contractual rights also apply to the virtual world of racing games and simulations. This means that TÜV Rheinland is not only clearly visible on site at the Nürburgring, but also on the screens of gamers in the detailed game version of the race track.

The TÜV Rheinland Tower on the start-finish straight is both a part of the racetrack infrastructure and a landmark of the Nürburgring. "The myth and its charisma have made the Nürburgring the focus of emotional customer events for us for many years," explains Dr Matthias Schubert, Executive Vice President at TÜV Rheinland.

"TÜV Rheinland is a firm and reliable partner of the Nürburgring. The early extension of the contract is a mutual vote of confidence that underlines the good cooperation," explains Christian Stephani on the long-standing partnership between the race track and the technical testing service provider. Ingo Böder adds: "The contract, which has been extended until 2027, is more than just a continuation of the long-standing history. It also embodies common values of our partnership, which include above all the commitment to safety and sustainability in road traffic and racing."
