It is the foundation for attractive endurance races on the Nordschleife: the Technical Regulations. In good time before the start of the season on March 22/23, the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NES), the new racing series of the Automobile Club of Germany (AvD), has published the comprehensive set of technical regulations on its website nes.de, subject to approval by the German Motor Sport Federation (DMSB). The Sporting Regulations and the Organizational Regulations are expected to be published in the coming week.

NES philosophy: more focus on driving thanks to clarity of content
The Technical Regulations for the Nürburgring Endurance Series, which will be held for the first time in 2024 with five events on the challenging Nordschleife of the Nürburgring, are above all clear and get to the heart of the technical rules. Extensive experience as well as numerous requests from the teams have been incorporated into the regulations, which will be further developed for the future in direct dialog with the participants.

The Technical Regulations thus follow the NES philosophy of offering participants more concentration on the actual racing and therefore more enjoyment instead of spending time on complicated rules and regulations. This philosophy is also reflected, for example, in the digital document management, which is implemented with partner onGrid.

Keep it simple: close to series production, improved, thoroughbred
The participating vehicles in the Nürburgring Endurance Series are divided into just three divisions. Purebred racing cars compete in Division 1, improved vehicles in Division 2 and production cars in Division 3. The GT3 sports cars, which usually fight for overall victory in the races, form the top of Division 1, while Divisions 2 and 3 also include classes for vehicles with hybrid and electric drives as well as vehicles powered by alternative fuels.
