Full programme at the 24h Nürburgring

18.05.2022

The ADAC Nordrhein invites you to a big anniversary party at the Nürburgring: The legendary ADAC TotalEnergies 24h Nürburgring celebrates its 50th edition, and the fans return to the track just in time for the big party. If that's not a reason to celebrate. The organisers, together with their partners, are therefore once again offering a full programme for the fans, which makes the visit highly worthwhile in addition to the excellent racing on the track. Of course, the fast-paced history of the 24-hour classic on the Nordschleife forms an important focus of the programme. That's why many former overall winners come to the Ring to join in the celebrations, and visitors can then meet them at an autograph session, for example. BMW invites other legendary drivers to the BMW M Race of Legends, which starts at the Ring to mark the 50th anniversary of the Bavarian brand's sporty offshoot. Falken will provide fun with the drift show on Friday evening in the Müllenbachschleife, Ravenol invites to a free ride on the Ferris wheel in the paddock: The weekend offers one attraction after the next.

On-demand campsites open on Mondays
Perhaps the most important attraction at the 24h Nürburgring is traditionally the spectators themselves, who can finally be present on site again this year without any restrictions. This includes the fact that the on-demand camping sites in the spectator zones around the Nordschleife can be used again. The access roads will be open from Monday morning (23 May).

Highlight on Wednesday: Adenauer Racing Day
On Wednesday afternoon, the traditional Adenauer Racing Day will finally take place again in the anniversary year, to which the ADAC invites together with the association municipality and the trade association. Here, drivers, teams, organisers and fans get in the mood for the event weekend together. A parade of 24h participant cars and racing cars from five decades of 24h history will start the event by driving along the Nordschleife to the exit in Breidscheid and continue along the main road to the market. Afterwards, there will be interviews and car presentations, of course also with drivers from the FIA WTCR. Autograph session, selfie opportunity and, of course, an intensive preview of the coming days make the afternoon the perfect prologue.

Falken Drift Show, Pitwalk and Autograph Session on Friday
Friday is drift day at the 24h Nürburgring - also in 2022! Falken invites you to the now legendary drift show in the Müllenbachschleife from 20:00. But the fans are spoilt for choice, because the pitwalk in the pit lane runs parallel from 8:30 p.m., which this year is combined with a large autograph session: So here there is not only the unique opportunity to be where otherwise only the pilots and mechanics are allowed to be. This time, all the teams and their drivers are invited to take a seat at the tables and sign autographs.

Saturday: Action all day
The waiting time until the start of the ADAC TotalEnergies 24h Nürburgring (Saturday, 16:00) will be shortened extremely pleasantly for the visitors. This is not only ensured by two races of the FIA WTCR and the warm-up of the 24h. On the Grand Prix circuit, the BMW M Race of Legends will present real motorsport heroes, and in parallel, corsos of Hyundai, Toyota / Lexus and BMW M will go around the Nordschleife. Red Bull stunt artist Aras Gibieza will also be on the road there, presenting his driving skills at some spectator points and then moving to the front of the Mercedes grandstand at start/finish, where he will make the packed grandstands shake directly in front of the starting grid.

Paddock: Don't miss it!
No 24h visitor should miss the detour to the paddock, because parallel to the action on the track, there is of course always something going on here. In addition to the teams, who you can look over your shoulder, there is a lot to discover. In the Historic Paddock this time you will find the participants of the touring car legends, who cut a great figure in front of the time-honoured pit area. In the Grand Prix paddock, the AMG fan base will be waiting for visitors, offering a video wall and vehicle exhibition, catering and lots of programmes on the subject of AMG and Mercedes-AMG drivers and teams. Of course, there will also be a "BMW M Race of Legends" paddock, where each of the race's famous participants will have their own box. Autograph sessions are also scheduled here for the BMW M Legends from Thursday to Saturday. Partners, teams and race services will be waiting in the paddock, as well as a stand with the official, exclusive 24h Nürburgring fan collection. The FIA WTCR teams will close the paddock on the side of the Mercedes Arena - there will also be an additional programme in their paddock. The infield of the Mercedes Arena naturally belongs to the ADAC 24h-Classic, which will be an impressive sight with its packed field of participants. The landmark of the paddock is also the Ravenol Ferris Wheel. The ride is free of charge for all visitors. Around the Ferris wheel there will be a video wall, a rollover simulator by Dekra and bullriding with "Bembel with Care".

ring°boulevard under the sign of the 24h anniversary
Right behind the main grandstand there is another important hotspot for visitors: the ring°boulevard will be transformed into a promenade during the 24h, which will be dedicated to the 24h anniversary. This is already ensured by the "Walk of Fame" with large-format pictures of impressions from the 24h history. This fits perfectly with the Legends exhibition, which shows 24h participant cars from the 49 previous editions of the race. The vehicles range from dwarfs such as an NSU TT or an Autobianchi A 112 to racing cars such as the Audi R8 LMS or the "Grello" Porsche 911. The ADAC stage in the ring°boulevard is the meeting point for the fans on several occasions: On Thursday, the stars of the 24h race will be guests at the official autograph session from 3:30 pm. On Friday at 5 p.m., the former 24h overall winners will follow at the same place, who will come together for a big "class reunion" at the anniversary. Exhibitors such as BMW, Volkswagen, Eibach, TotalEnergies or Falken will provide further great offers, the German Armed Forces will give career information and the driving safety centre will also be present. Manthey offers the Grello collection and CK model cars. Right next door, the ring°werk is also worth a visit. There will be a Sabine Schmitz exhibition there on the 24-hour weekend.
