The first regional Nürburgring job fair has come to an end after two successful days. 35 exhibitors - from internationally active companies to successful medium-sized businesses - took the opportunity to present their career opportunities to the visitors. In the end, the fair was completely convincing: through the professional planning, implementation and the affectionate design as well as through the high quality of the visitors - from prospective trainees to trained specialists.
In addition to their presence at the fair stands, the exhibitors also had the opportunity to give short presentations and insights into everyday working life on stage. In addition, visitors were able to view the job offers of the participating companies again at their leisure on a separate information wall.
The managing director of Nürburgring 1927 GmbH & Co. KG was satisfied: "It was a very good premiere for our job fair here at the Nürburgring. Our team has put together a strong stage for the companies in the region. The Bitburger Event Center and its design were convincing as a location. The feedback from the exhibitors was very positive. Many have emphasised how important such a trade fair is for our region and have already confirmed that they would be happy to come again. Therefore, we are looking forward to a continuation of this regional job fair next year."
The opinions of the exhibitors:
Martin Raeder, Managing Director Manthey-Racing GmbH
"Of course, people know us and our Grello at the Nürburgring from our work on the race track. But Manthey's range of services goes well beyond motorsport. That's why we were happy to use the job fair to give visitors an understanding of our entire job portfolio in the areas of racing, performance, engineering, services and experiences. We had some great conversations here."
Thomas Gebauer, Head of Depot Branch West SANI
"The job fair came just in time for us, because we want to further strengthen our location at the Nürburgring in terms of personnel. We were absolutely positively surprised by the good response and especially by how many good quality discussions we were able to hold. The result suits us and we will be happy to come again."
Sonja Jahnen, Division Manager, Koblenz-Mayen Employment Agency
"Looking for, finding and offering jobs is our profession, which is why we were right there at the job fair - as employers as well as experts on the labour market. This is a great location for this fair and there are really many exciting employers here besides us. The selection of exhibitors is very good and the number of visitors just shows how important this offer is for the region."
Thurid Wagenknecht, Programme Manager Riedel Communications
"This job fair here at the Nürburgring is really beautifully designed and offers a very personal environment - so everything you need for a lively exchange with visitors. We really had a lot of young visitors and students - also accompanied by parents - which impressed us a lot. Many were surprised by our performance portfolio, because here in the region the perception of Riedel Communications is very much shaped by radio technology and motor sports."
Irina Wörner, Team Leader Persona Service Neuwied
"We are always looking for skilled workers and since we are such a big company, actually everyone can find a job with us. Our area also extends to the Nürburgring and we want to attract applicants and employees here, especially from this region. That's why we came all the way from Neuwied. The talks were really great and we will definitely be happy to come back at the next job fair at the Nürburgring."
Guido Fiedler, Member of the Management Board Köllemann GmbH
"We essentially produce machines for materials handling and process engineering and export 80 per cent of these all over the world. Since our company is based in Adenau, we also like to recruit our employees in the region. Many highly qualified people presented themselves here at the job fair, including possible trainees. For us, the participation was very successful.
