Timetables for 24h and 24h Qualifiers published

13.12.2024

Before the end of the year, the organisers of the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring published the timetable for the major event from 19–22 June 2025. This means that everyone involved – active participants, fans and, of course, the organisers themselves – can start planning for the coming year early. As usual, the program will be extensive and will once again offer everything from historic racing to high-tech cars in the 24-hour field, providing exciting motorsport on the legendary Nordschleife. The timetable for the ADAC 24h Nürburgring Qualifiers from May 24th to 25th, 2025 has also been published. The Prologue weekend, the season highlight of the 24h four weeks later, will also be part of the NLS (Nürburgring Endurance Series) next year, ensuring numerous attractive entries and exciting racing in the two four-hour races. The schedules are now available on the 24h race homepage.

The biggest change in the program of the legendary 24h race awaits spectators during the practice days on Thursday and Friday. As usual, the Thursday program will be dominated by the two 24-hour qualifying sessions, which together take up more than five hours of time. In the evening battle for the best lap times, the first 15 minutes are reserved exclusively for the SP9 participants – the GT3 racing cars. Only after that is the track open to all participants for the atmospheric night qualifying session, which lasts until 23:30. Traditionally, this is the first atmospheric highlight of the event weekend.

The reason for this change in detail can be explained by looking at the Friday program: the top qualifying session, in which the fastest participants fight for pole position in a single time trial, is scheduled for midday. Those responsible for the regulations are currently working on a new, simplified mode for this part of qualifying, which is to be adopted by the time the announcement is published in January. The plan is to create a process that provides additional transparency and thus increases the sporting excitement. The third qualifying session will then take place on Friday afternoon, where the focus will be on the participants who are fighting for the starting positions behind the fastest cars in the field. For them, the new qualification mode will bring increased attention.

Key points for an attractive supporting program have been set
It won't just be the 24-hour sessions that keep the crowds glued to the track during the season's highlight; the supporting program, the sporting part of which has now also been finalized, will ensure that. The highlight, of course, continues to be the ADAC 24h-Classic. The huge field of youngtimers and Anhang-K classic cars will be causing a stir on the track for two and a half hours on Saturday morning. The first races will take place much earlier, namely on Thursday: after the traditional warm-up with the RCN (Rundstrecken Challenge Nürburgring) performance test in the morning, the touring car legends will kick off the action with the first of a total of three races. The battles between the racing cars from the former DTM, STW and other legendary series on the Grand Prix circuit are undoubtedly among the crowd favorites. The Cup and Touring Car Trophy will also hold their first race on Thursday. On Friday, both series will then frame the qualifying sessions of the 24-hour race and the 24-hour Classic race with further races. On Saturday, there will be another touring car legends race before the starting signal is given at 4:00 p.m. for the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring! In addition to the sporting events, many other highlights are planned for the 2025 supporting program. After all, program items such as the Falken Drift Show on Friday evening or the big autograph session with all the teams are just as much a must for numerous visitors as the show acts during the starting lineup or the numerous attractions throughout the event grounds.

Two NLS races upgrade 24h Qualifiers
The ADAC 24h Nürburgring Qualifiers from May 23rd to 25th, 2025 not only form the prologue for the actual 24h a month later. The two four-hour races on Saturday and Sunday will also count as the fourth and fifth rounds of the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS). This increases the sporting value and should ensure a full field of participants. Visitors will also experience more action on the track: the race weekend will kick off with three hours of testing and setup sessions on Friday afternoon. After qualifying for the first four-hour race on Saturday afternoon (start: 5:30 p.m.), the track will be the RCN's for three and a half hours. On Sunday, it's one thing after another: after qualifying in the morning, the fastest teams go into top qualifying and thus into the battle for pole position. At 1:00 p.m., the starting field is then sent into the second qualifier race of the weekend - which not only promises NLS points, but also the very last test under competitive conditions before the 24-hour race in June.
