All information about Good Friday at the Nürburgring

16.04.2025

All over Germany, car enthusiasts gather in various public places on Good Friday to share their passion. At the Nürburgring, a large crowd is expected again this year when thousands of visitors gather around the track. The Nürburgring operating company is deploying a team of over 150 stewards, security staff and traffic wardens to support the measures and visitor management of the public order office and the police. A central aspect of the close cooperation is the protection of the region and nature from excessive noise and waste. Although there is no event at the Nürburgring on Good Friday, thousands of people come. The fascination of the world-famous race track has also made it a popular destination for tuners on this day. For the Nürburgring, the public order office and the police, there is therefore one thing above all else on the agenda: to control and educate the many visitors accordingly and to punish any infringements. In order to relieve traffic and the local areas, the B412 will be closed in coordination with those responsible at Nürburgring 1927 GmbH & Co. KG, Landesbetrieb Mobilität, the Ahrweiler district administration and the Mayen police headquarters, the B412 will be opened to through traffic. However, depending on capacity utilization in the Brünnchen and Pflanzgarten areas, traffic may be temporarily closed and diverted. In addition, various traffic circles will be set up so that only straight through traffic is possible. Extensive parking facilities along the Nordschleife and Grand Prix TrackThe Nürburgring will provide extensive parking facilities around the circuit in order to reduce congestion as much as possible. Almost all parking spaces in the A zone near the Grand Prix circuit are open, as well as additional parking spaces in the B zone if required. On the Nordschleife, in addition to the best-known Brünnchen and Pflanzgarten parking lots, other areas in the Schwalbenschwanz and, if all parking areas in Adenau are full, other spaces in the Adenauer Forst will also be open. A large contingent of stewards and additional security personnel will also monitor the ban on barbecues and camping. Traffic violations will be consistently punishedOverall, a high volume of traffic is to be expected in the area of the main access roads to the Nürburgring, in the town of Adenau and in the surrounding villages. The police will be focusing on possible traffic violations, paying particular attention to road safety and vehicle compliance as well as driver behavior. The message from the law enforcement officers is clear: anyone who behaves "out of line" must expect consequences. These may include all-day bans, vehicle seizures or, in individual cases, confiscation of driving licenses. Illegal parking outside designated areas will ultimately lead to the vehicle being towed away for a fee. An overview of the open parking areas: Parking areas Grand Prix Track: A1, A2, A6, A7, A8, A9, A10, B zone if required Parking areas Nordschleife: Brünnchen P96 Pflanzgarten (P97+P98) Schwalbenschwanz P100 Adenauer Forst (opens when all parking areas in Adenau are full)

New this year: the racetracker photo platform! Participants can now purchase professional pictures of their laps on the track and take home unforgettable memories. Those who do not want photos of themselves can indicate this directly on site: at the entrance, there is a sign that can be attached to the seat post if desired – this ensures that no pictures are taken. Also new in 2025: additional dates in July and August, when certain time slots will be reserved exclusively for cyclists. This gives everyone even more opportunities to enjoy the Nordschleife at their own pace. The opening event will take place on Saturday, May 17, 2025, an ideal date for those who want to combine the event with a long weekend in the region. The cycling and running events at the Nürburgring are suitable for everyone – whether as a training session, in preparation for larger events such as Rad am Ring (July 18–20, 2025) or simply to enjoy the legendary track in a relaxed manner. Nürburgring has a full calendar of events in 2025

12.03.2025

Ready for a full-throttle 2025: the engines will finally start up at the Nürburgring in March. And once again, the event calendar is full to bursting: 60 events make the Eifel race track a worthwhile destination for many good reasons well into the fall. Racing spectacle, festival summer, comedy evening or family outing: the Nürburgring will make hearts beat faster again this year. They belong to the Ring as much as the champagne shower on the podium: crowd-pullers such as the Nürburgring 24 Hours, the DTM, Rock am Ring, the Truck Grand Prix and the Oldtimer Grand Prix will once again attract hundreds of thousands of visitors to the Eifel this year. A fast-paced mix that includes around 60 public events between March and November alone. Major events alternate with hands-on motor sports and small after-work pleasures, such as the Nürburgring cycling and running club or the Afterwork Classics. One of the highlights will be the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring. On the Corpus Christi weekend (June 19-22), well over 100 race cars will take on the ultimate challenge: 24 hours non-stop on the most demanding track in the world. A spectacle – also because of its passionate fans. Tens of thousands will be camping along the track, creating the unique atmosphere of the Ring. One new feature this year is a particularly family-friendly camping option in the new Family & Friends area. If you enjoy the thrilling and close racing on the Nordschleife, there are many other opportunities to experience racing action in the Green Hell throughout the year at the ADAC Nürburgring Endurance Series and the RCN circuit racing challenge. The International ADAC Truck Grand Prix is also a real experience. For decades, Germany's truckers have been celebrating Christmas with country music, camping and fast-paced racing. This year, the truckers will be on the loose from July 11 to 13. The traditional music festival has recently undergone a rejuvenation. The revamped Saturday evening program now features well-known party artists, and affordable single-day tickets are available for this event. Europe's most famous racing series, the DTM (August 8-10), will once again be a guest on the Nürburgring's sprint track – and will shine with a wide variety of brands, familiar faces and thrilling racing. Or how about a journey back in time to the last century of motorsport? With the Nürburgring Classic (June 13-15), the BELMOT Oldtimer Grand Prix (August 1-3) and the ADAC 1000 km race (September 20-21), three events are dedicated to historic racing cars. Indoor events from comedy to sportsThere will be plenty of laughter and celebration off the track this year: Comedian Carolin Kebekus will be making a guest appearance in the ring°arena in the fall (September 20) with her celebrated Shesus tour. NightWash Live will also be bringing stand-up comedy to the Nürburgring again this year, on November 15. And at Darts am Ring, some of the world's best dart throwers will transform the ring°arena into a madhouse together with many celebrating darts fans on March 29 – just like at the big role model, the Ally Pally. The Nürburgring Family Day on October 26 and the Job Fair on November 7 and 8 round off the indoor highlights. And because the Nürburgring is not just about watching, other hands-on events are looking forward to motivated participants. Whether on two wheels at Rad am Ring (July 18-20), on foot at the Hotfoot Run (May 10), or with the powerful Gargenschatz at GRIP - das Motorevent (July 6). Speaking of garage treasures: Numerous tourist driving days are planned again for all petrol heads, during which anyone can drive on the ring. The Nordschleife and Grand Prix circuit will open their barriers on well over 100 days.

In a highly dynamic European festival landscape, the industry leader is holding its own by focusing on an exclusive program and on the festival experience of the fans – the classic Rock am Ring values. The success story comes just in time for the 40th anniversary of the iconic festival. On the 1985 Whitsun weekend, tens of thousands of music fans made the pilgrimage to the Nürburgring for the first time, in a different century, a completely different festival landscape. The anniversary edition now represents both the history of Rock am Ring and a departure into the future. In times of constant change, the genuine festival promise of a temporary utopia on the Ring remains and each year anew creates the framework for a well-organized chaos.  The newly designed Rock am Ring site, with its futuristic elements, towering LED columns and the biggest stages in the festival's history, is symbolic of this controlled escapism. “We are building a small parallel universe with numerous loving details that fans can dive into with gusto,” says Jana Posth, Festival Director Rock am Ring. At Rock am Ring, ensuring the best festival experience for fans still means first and foremost: presenting the best possible program. Rock am Ring will remain a multi-genre festival with a focus on guitar in its anniversary year, but in 2025 it will be more diverse than ever: insider tips, crowd favorites, and major acts will be performing back-to-back, and the program will reflect the full diversity of the current music scene. That is the magic of Rock am Ring: everything that festival culture stands for will be brought to life again at the Nürburgring in 2025, with concerts lasting well into the night and a clear focus on a passion for music and community.
