"Javaland" celebrated its 10th anniversary at the Nürburgring with a spectacular anniversary edition. From the ring°arena to the ring°kart track, the large IT conference made use of the legendary race track's diverse conference facilities and hands-on activities for an attractive program. For three days, 1,440 participants experienced an unforgettable event. Against the breathtaking backdrop of the legendary race track, the event offered a unique opportunity for Java enthusiasts to meet, learn and be inspired. On the ring°boulevard, in the ring°arena and in various conference rooms of the Nürburgring, participants had the opportunity to find out about the latest developments in the Java world and experience the unique atmosphere of the legendary event location. In addition to the technical presentations, the visitors immersed themselves in the Nürburgring world during the supporting program: In the ring°werk motorsport experience museum, there were exhibitions to admire and numerous hands-on activities, such as the Pit Stop Challenge. Here, participants were able to try out a real Formula 1 car during a pit stop. Meanwhile, the fast e-karts of the ring°kart track proved to be real crowd-pullers and provided plenty of excitement on the winding track. Another highlight were the track walks, where participants were led by a guide over the legendary asphalt of the Nordschleife - the so-called Green Hell - and given exciting information. On the grandstand of the start and finish straight, participants were even able to marvel at test drives of real racing cars. On the evening of the first day of the conference, Jean-Pierre Derinbay & Friends thrilled the crowd with live music in the Eifel Stadl. Together with Vanessa Iraci and Juan Daniél, he fired up the audience and got everyone dancing to rock and pop music. For the participants who needed a nearby place to stay after the exciting days, the surrounding Nürburgring hotels and the Nürburgring Ferienpark managed by Lindner offered a variety of options for staying overnight in the immediate vicinity and fully enjoying the ambience. All information on the conference offers for companies can be found here.

TotalEnergies fast-charging stations at the Nürburgring

The Nürburgring and TotalEnergies have entered into a pioneering partnership for the expansion of electromobility. As an official e-mobility partner, TotalEnergies Charging Solutions Deutschland GmbH is building and operating an extensive charging infrastructure at the Nürburgring, including access roads, paths and parking spaces for electric vehicles. For the start of the season, the existing charging infrastructure has now been supplemented by two fast charging points on the B 258, directly opposite the centrally located info°center of the Nürburgring. At the four high-power charging points (HPC) with a charging capacity of 150 to 300 kW, drivers can charge their electric cars for up to a further 300 kilometers within 30 minutes. In a further expansion stage, a roof will also be installed to ensure convenient use even in the rain. The new fast-charging stations complement the existing AC charging infrastructure at the Nürburgring, which was also installed by TotalEnergies. A total of 18 charging points are already available at various locations such as the Nürburgring parking garage below the ring°boulevard, in the parking garage of the Nürburgring Congress Hotel as well as at the Nürburgring Motorsport Hotel and in the Nürburgring Ferienpark.Jan Petersen, Managing Director of TotalEnergies Charging Solutions Germany: "The cooperation with the Nürburgring underlines our strategic commitment to the expansion of electromobility in Germany. As part of an international multi-energy company, we are a strong partner and, in addition to investment and construction, we also ensure the ongoing operation, maintenance and servicing of the charging infrastructure at the site." With this cooperation, TotalEnergies is consolidating its role as an important player in the field of electromobility. In September 2023, the company was awarded the contract for the construction and operation of 1,100 fast-charging points nationwide as part of the tender for the German network. In February 2024, it was awarded the contract for a further 166 fast-charging points along freeways. The company currently operates a network of over 5,000 charging points in Germany. Christian Stephani, Managing Director of Nürburgring 1927 GmbH & Co. KG: "The Nürburgring stands for performance and mobility and their development like hardly any other location in Germany. That is why it is important to us that we can offer our visitors, overnight guests and those passing through a strong charging offer. In addition to the AC charging points, the fast-charging stations that have now been put into operation are the next step in making our charging infrastructure even more attractive. The collaboration with TotalEnergies has been an absolute partnership."

BMW is official vehicle partner of the Nürburgring

BMW is the new official vehicle partner of the Nürburgring. The service and track safety vehicles for the race track employees will come from the Bavarian car manufacturer at least until 2026. In addition to the existing commitment of the BMW M performance brand at the Nürburgring, the vehicle partnership that has now been agreed represents a further expansion of the collaboration and BMW's presence at the legendary race track. In a first step, a total of 25 new BMWs will strengthen the Nürburgring fleet. Nine of them will be on the track in the future as part of track safety. Eight BMW 330i xDrive Touring and one BMW X1 xDrive23i will be used on the Nordschleife and Grand Prix circuit to ensure safety. For this purpose, the vehicles are given a Nürburgring-specific, eye-catching design with warning elements so that they are clearly visible to all race track users at all times. For example, by tourist drivers or participants in the sports driver training sessions. In future, the 1 Series, 3 Series, X1 and X3 will be available to employees as company cars. In future, these will also be equipped with design elements of the Nürburgring silhouette and the Nürburgring logo, making them attractive figureheads of the versatile event location. Nürburgring already home to the BMW M brandThe vehicle partnership is a further building block for the Bavarian car manufacturer at the Nürburgring. Nürburgring visitors, tourist drivers and television viewers know the BMW M performance brand only too well. Both the BMW M Power Grandstand on the Grand Prix circuit and the BMW M Bridge directly above the start and finish straight, as well as the advertising banner on the "old pit lane" along the Nordschleife, are visible from afar and are an integral part of the Nürburgring's image. In terms of driving activities, the car manufacturer is also one of the most intensive users of the race track with its Driving Experience. In 2021, BMW M also started to establish the Nürburgring as the home of the brand. The centerpiece of this cooperation, which will initially last until 2025, is the BMW M Showroom in the ring°boulevard, which opens to visitors to the Nürburgring on selected dates. The motorsport season at the Nürburgring starts on March 16. Whether on or off the race track. BMW will definitely be clearly visible.

Nürburgring among Germany's Top 5 most popular travel destinations!

What a success for the Nürburgring. The legendary race track and event location is among the top 5 most popular travel destinations in Germany. In the ranking of the German National Tourist Board, the world-famous Ring landed even ahead of destinations such as Neuschwanstein Castle, the capital Berlin or the Hanseatic city of Hamburg. "What a sensational result. We are very proud of this! Many thanks to our visitors and fans who gave us their vote!" says a delighted Nürburgring Managing Director Christian Stephani about the top ranking. Fellow Managing Director Ingo Böder adds: "This is great and a great appreciation of our work." What fascinates people so much about the Nürburgring? It is one of the most legendary race tracks in the world. Beloved and feared at the same time: the world-famous Nordschleife, the "Green Hell" in the middle of the magnificent Eifel forests. But the Nürburgring is more than just a race track. It is a vibrant conference and trade fair location, a popular excursion destination and a guarantee for impressive experiences. With versatile offers such as formula training, karting, its own adventure museum, trackwalks or backstage tours. Since its opening in 1927, a unique myth has been created here with every story that can be felt and experienced by everyone. A living legend that fascinates motorsport fans and teams, the automotive industry as well as visitors and corporate customers alike. This is confirmed by the voting, because leisure activities with a high experience factor for the whole family and lively metropolises are particularly popular with international visitors to the website of the German National Tourist Board (GNTB). This was also demonstrated by the big Nürburgring Family Day, which celebrated its premiere this year. 20,000 visitors rushed to the numerous offers and spent a great day at the Ring. Incidentally, Europa-Park received the most entries in the voting this year. Last year's winner, Miniatur Wunderland Hamburg, came in second. Phantasialand Brühl follows in third place. The other places are occupied by Rothenburg ob der Tauber, the Nürburgring, Neuschwanstein Castle, the capital Berlin, the Black Forest National Park, the Hanseatic City of Hamburg and the Therme Erding. Since 2012, visitors to the website have been able to name the tourist destinations they consider particularly recommendable in a free text field using the double opt-in procedure. Only participants from international markets are evaluated. The ranking of the Top 100 will result from the entries. The entire ranking is available at
