"Anlassen" attracts bikers to the Nürburgring at the end of April

19.04.2024

It's finally motorcycle time again: the Nürburgring invites you to the traditional season opening. Thousands of bikers are once again expected in the Eifel on Sunday, April 28 for the "Anlassen" motorcycle service. Demonstrations, a food court and exhibitors will attract visitors to the Ring paddock until well into the afternoon, before "Anlassen" reaches its climax with the ecumenical church service and the joint parade around the Nordschleife. Admission to the event and participation in the parade are free of charge. Further information are available at www.nuerburgring.de. Thousands of bikers and their joint ride over the famous 20.832 kilometers of the Green Hell: The parade is an extraordinary experience for motorcyclists every year. Beforehand, the focus is on the traditional blessing of the bikers and their machines at the ecumenical church service - held by Pastor Kohnz and Pastor Wink - combined with the request for a safe journey at all times. The opening of the motorcycle season on Sunday, April 28, will culminate in a church service (3:15 p.m.) and parade (4:30 p.m.). The gates to the Grand Prix paddock will open early in the morning. Bikers and visitors are invited from 8 am. In addition to thousands of two-wheelers and just as many like-minded people celebrating this day together at the Nürburgring, around 20 exhibitors have also announced their attendance. They will be presenting all kinds of useful and new motorcycle-related products. As an official partner of the event, clothing and accessories retailer POLO, for example, will be running a test stand where anyone can precisely determine the performance of their motorcycle, as well as its own Kids World with a driving course and pocket bikes. In the show zone, visitors can marvel at a wide variety of demonstrations throughout the day - including from the Rhineland-Palatinate state police, the German Red Cross and the ADAC Nürburgring Driving Safety Center. The Stefan Morsch Foundation is once again calling on people to register as potential lifesavers by providing a saliva sample. The Nürburgring-Nordschleife will also be open for tourist rides until the afternoon. And even after the start, further motorcycle events await at the Ring. With the International German Motorcycle Championship (IDM) from 30.08. to 01.09., the ADAC/DMC Race Weekend from 10 to 11.05. and the Cologne circuit (12.05.), there are a number of other two-wheeled highlights at the Nürburgring this year. > All information about the motorcycle events can be found here. New date: Nürburgring motorcycle season start "Anlassen" postponed to April 28

01.02.2024

New date for "Anlassen" at the Nürburgring: this year, the motorcycle season opener will take place three weeks later than originally planned. Thousands of motorcyclists are now expected at the Ring on Sunday, April 28, 2024. As usual, admission to "Anlassen" is free of charge. Two program items are also a must for "Anlassen" at the Nürburgring in 2024: Firstly, the traditional church blessing of the two-wheelers and their machines - combined with the request for a safe journey at all times. Secondly, the joint parade on the Nürburgring Nordschleife: thousands of bikers take a leisurely lap around the most beautiful 20.832 kilometers in the world - an extraordinary experience for the motorcycling community every year. Detailed information - such as a detailed schedule and other program items - for "Anlassen" on Sunday, 28 April 2024, will follow shortly.

Parade was the crowning finale of "Anlassen"

02.04.2023

The traditional motorbike service "Anlassen" found its crowning conclusion on Sunday afternoon with the parade over the Nordschleife. According to police estimates, a total of 7,000 bikers took part in the ride through the Green Hell. This large response had not been expected at first. Due to bad weather and fog, the motorbike event had initially started with only about 2,000 bikers in the Grand Prix paddock of the Nürburgring. "Anlassen" marks the start of the two-wheeler season at the Nürburgring every year. For those who came to the event this year, there were various programme items in the Grand Prix paddock - for example, various demonstrations by the Rhineland-Palatinate state police, the German Red Cross, the driving safety centre or the motorbike brand POLO. In addition, around 25 exhibitors on the subject of motorbikes awaited the visitors, as well as a look behind the scenes during guided tours of the Nürburgring Medical Centre. Before the joint parade, the bikers received the blessing of Auxiliary Bishop Jörg Michael Peters, Pastor Klaus Kohnz and Pastor Claudia Rössling-Marenbach at the ecumenical church service.

Because the Nürburgring is more than just a race track. Nestled in the Eifel forests and firmly rooted in the region, it has been an international place of emotion, passion and unique stories for almost 100 years. And for Nürburgring fans from all over the world, it is one thing above all: a place of solidarity and community - a kind of home. The fact that emotional moments, people and a very special feeling of longing make up the Nürburgring will be visible and tangible this season under the new claim of the destination. From now on, the motto at the Nürburgring is: "we make your heart race". This claim stands for the passion of the employees of the Nürburgring companies, who see themselves as pioneers of unique moments and for the diverse experiences that the players and visitors experience here. It stands for goose bumps and heart throbbing, for adrenaline and joy, for an incomparable challenge.  These emotions can be triggered by a visit to the Nürburgring Endurance Series just as much as by an overnight stay right next to the race track at the Nürburgring Congress Hotel managed by Lindner. A ride in a kart, in the passenger seat of a racing car or in the simulator of the Nürburgring eSports bar also causes special palpitations - and taking part in a corporate event with a direct view of the race track is just as special. All of this is the Nürburgring emotion that creates special impressions and memories for everyone involved. Beyond the on-site experience, the Nürburgring feeling is transported all over the world. Through emotional scenes - for example in the live broadcast of a race by Nürburgring.tv or in the new image clip of the destination. And of course there are a variety of emotional image motifs from all events and moments at the Nürburgring via the Nürburgring communication channels.  No matter where, no matter when: everyone should have the opportunity to experience a piece of the Nürburgring and, of course, to feel for themselves what it means when it says: "nürburgring. we make your heart race."

Cancellation of "Anlassen" after wintry forecast for the weekend

31.03.2022

The motorbike service "Anlassen" has been cancelled. Due to the forecast of wintry conditions, the Nürburgring's operating company decided as early as Thursday not to allow the two-wheeled event to take place. This is to allow all visitors, partners and service providers the best possible planning. Travelling to the Nürburgring by car is still worthwhile at the weekend. The weather-independent offers will be open as planned. The tourist drives are also scheduled to take place - however, changes at short notice are possible here at any time due to the weather and will be announced here. According to Nürburgring 1927 GmbH & Co. KG, the expected weather conditions could already endanger the safety of motorcyclists on their journey. Furthermore, under the current forecasts, various programme items such as motorbike demonstrations would not be feasible. At the Nürburgring, an intensive search was also underway to find an alternative date for the motorbike service at short notice. Unfortunately, due to the tight schedule at the Nürburgring, it is not possible to hold the event, which requires the Grand Prix paddock as a full-day event area and the Nordschleife for the motorbike parade, in a timely manner. Those responsible deeply regret the cancellation, which had no alternative. After the Corona-related cancellations of "Anlassen" in the past two years, the team of Nürburgring 1927 GmbH & Co. KG had been looking forward to finally being able to hold the traditional event again without any restrictions. The RCN GLP regularity test, which was to have started on Saturday, 2 April, was also cancelled. Tourist rides, ring°werk, ring°kartbahn eSports Bar and gastronomic offersHowever, according to the current status, the popular tourist drives can take place. The Nordschleife will open on Friday, April 1, from 5:15 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. (entire circuit incl. GP circuit), on Saturday, April 2, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday, April 3, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.. On Saturday there will also be tourist rides on the Grand Prix Track from 10 am to 7 pm. Depending on the weather conditions on the day, the Nürburgring operating company reserves the right to limit this offer to car drivers or, in case of doubt, to cancel it altogether. Regardless of the weather, families and visitors can enjoy themselves at the motorsport museum ring°werk at the weekend. Stories from 95 years of the Nürburgring await them here. Meanwhile, at the ring°kartbahn, modern and safe electric karts invite you to burn a best time into the asphalt. Driving pleasure is possible here from the age of 8 and a body height of 1.20 metres. In the ring°carré, every visitor can also take a virtual spin on the race track in the Nürburgring eSports Bar. High-quality racing simulators provide a uniquely realistic driving experience. The gastronomic offerings "LUCIA - Pollo Italiano" and the Bitburger Gasthaus will also be open. The latest information is available on the Nürburgring's social channels and here on the website.

The event for motorcyclists is the next highlight in the versatile calendar of the Nürburgring. Last weekend already showed the mix that makes up the multifunctional event location. On Friday evening, the Darts Gala celebrated its premiere at the Nürburgring in the ring°arena. The big names of darts and more than 3,000 fans were present at the indoor event. There was a great party inside the arena and in the stands. After the successful start, the continuation for 2023 is already firmly planned. A date will be announced soon. Thousands of fans were also present live on Saturday at the first race of the Nürburgring Endurance Series. On the grandstands of the Grand Prix circuit, on the starting grid and in the paddock as well as around the Nordschleife, the visitors followed the action. In the end, a real crowd favourite won: the Porsche 911 GT3 R from Manthey Racing. At the end of the weekend, all the fans could do their own laps on the legendary race track. In the tourist drives, the Nordschleife opened all day on Sunday and heralded a real start to the season here as well in pre-summer weather - because after the first few weekends, the Nürburgring now opens almost daily for tourist drivers.
