24h Qualifiers: Highlight of the 24h preparations

Spring has not only turned the trees green again – it’s also brought new life to the “Green Hell”: The season on the Nürburgring Nordschleife is already in full swing, and after the second race of the ADAC Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie (NLS), the first favorites for the legendary ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring from June 19 to 22, 2025, are starting to emerge.

But before the spectacular highlight of the season on the world’s longest racetrack, there are more opportunities for valuable test and training kilometers within the NLS framework. The grand finale of the preparations will be the ADAC 24h Qualifiers on May 24 and 25. Since these count as a double-header for the NLS, they carry particular significance not only for the year-long Nordschleife series but also for the 24h Nürburgring itself. All the more reason to mark the weekend in your calendar—and grab your tickets early. Two teams have stood out in particular at the start of the season. On both occasions, the Audi R8 LMS GT3 from Juta Racing secured pole position, piloted by 24h defending champion Frank Stippler. The driver from Bad Münstereifel once again proved that this GT3 “veteran” may no longer be part of the latest vehicle generation, but in the hands of an experienced racer, it still ranks among the favorites. That said, both race wins went to state-of-the-art machinery. The Porsche 911 GT3 R from Falken Motorsports now boasts two victories and has established itself early on as a strong contender. The traditional works team of the Japanese tire manufacturer prevailed against very strong competition. That was especially evident in the second NLS race, where the Aston Martin from the Walkenhorst team crossed the finish line first but was classified second due to a time penalty for an insufficient pit stop duration. “The penalty is definitely annoying, but in the end, we still got a podium,” said Walkenhorst driver Mattia Drudi (Melle), pleased with a successful debut. “It was my first time in an Aston Martin on the Nordschleife, and our focus is clearly on preparing for the 24h Nürburgring.” The winning drivers also had their eyes firmly on the bigger picture. Falken driver Alessio Picariello (BEL) called it “perfect preparation for the 24h,” while his teammate Dorian Boccolacci (FRA) commented on only his second GT3 race on the Nordschleife: “I don’t have much experience yet in such a car on this track. So it’s even nicer that the season started with two podiums—second in NLS1, and now a win. And in the end, we didn’t even need to take full risks because we knew the second-place car would get a time penalty.” A high-profile showcase of super sports carsThe top tier of endurance racing on the Nordschleife is more diverse than ever this year. In the second NLS race, a BMW M4 GT3 from Rowe Racing joined the podium as the third brand represented. No fewer than six different manufacturers filled the top ten: Audi, Aston Martin, BMW, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Mercedes-AMG, and Porsche are all part of this thrilling GT3 spectacle. To ensure the 24h race in June lives up to its excitement, the lead-up phase this year is particularly extensive: after the third NLS race, the ADAC 24h Nürburgring Qualifiers (May 24/25) will feature two races that also count toward the NLS championship. That’s when we’ll likely see teams whose race cars haven’t been ready up to now—because by the Qualifiers, things get serious. Extra grid slots for the 24h Top Qualifying are up for grabs, and Nordschleife rookies get an ideal opportunity to fast-track their “Permit,” the mandatory special license for racing on the Nordschleife. Only after the Qualifier weekend will the 24h Nürburgring entry list be finalized: the registration deadline for the 24h is May 28. Unsurprisingly, interest is already high, and the Qualifiers are expected to attract a packed field. A trip to the Ring is worth itAs if two NLS races in one weekend and intensive 24h preparation weren’t reason enough to attend the 24h Qualifiers, the event also features an exciting support program. For example, there’s plenty of grassroots and youth racing to enjoy. On Saturday midday, the RCN will hold a performance test on the Nordschleife. Throughout the weekend, car slalom competitions will be held in the AMG Arena, and youth eKart slaloms will take place in the paddock. One highlight is the first of the two races, which starts Saturday at 5:30 p.m. and runs four hours into the evening—delivering full endurance racing vibes. Sunday is headlined by the Top Qualifying session, where teams battle for the best grid positions at the front. The second four-hour race then begins at 1:00 p.m. If you want to experience this motorsport spectacle live, tickets are available here starting at just €25 (Saturday or Sunday day passes). These grant access to the grandstands on the GP circuit, the paddock, and prime spectator areas along the Nordschleife such as Brünnchen and Pflanzgarten. If you can’t make it to the track, you can tune into the livestream at 24h-rennen.de/live, broadcasting Saturday from 4:30 p.m. to 10:15 p.m. and Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

24h Nürburgring 2025: colorful, diverse, exciting!

29.03.2025

Curtain up for the 53rd edition of the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring from June 19th to 22nd, 2025: The opening event of the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie (NLS) on the penultimate weekend in March was the overture to an epic in many acts at the legendary Nürburgring-Nordschleife. This year, the strongest GT3 teams, drivers and makes will compete for the coveted 24-hour trophy at the longest race track in the world, which at over 25 km is longer than any other race track in the world. Highlights include the first act in the ADAC 24h Nürburgring Qualifiers (May 24th-25th) and, of course, the finale furioso in the actual 24h Nürburgring, which is likely to be even more colorful and diverse than before. In addition to the established teams of the German premium manufacturers Audi, BMW, Mercedes-AMG and Porsche, teams with GT3s from Aston Martin, Ferrari, Ford and Lamborghini will be making their mark this year. The action at the opening race showed that the supposed “exotic” and “underdogs” are in the thick of the action and will have a say in the awarding of the top positions. If you want to secure your box seat for this spectacle, you can do so now. At the NLS opener, a defending champion was initially in the spotlight. Frank Stippler secured pole position in the Audi R8 LMS GT3 from Juta Racing and showed what is still possible in the already somewhat older GT from Ingolstadt. He led a very colorful field into the warm-up lap before the start: eight different brands took the top ten positions in the first NLS qualifying session of the season. Stippler, for example, was joined on the grid by the Walkenhorst-Aston Martin GT3, followed in rows two and three by the McLaren 720S GT3 from Dörr Motorsport and the Ferrari 296 GT3 from Kondo Racing / Rinaldi. Lamborghini, Mercedes-AMG, BMW, Porsche lined up behind them – a real feast of what are currently arguably the most beautiful sports cars. In the race, it was the top dogs that set the tone: Porsche achieved a clean quadruple victory, with the two Falken 911s ahead of the Manthey team's “Grello” and the 911 GT3R from Dinamic GT. And of course, the season opener was also extremely exciting in other respects: 22 partly hard-fought vehicle classes, in which everything from production cars to thoroughbred racing cars were represented. A good omen for an exciting season in amateur and popular sports as well – the fans also saw it that way and provided provided a great backdrop for this first show race. Old and new highlights for visitorsEven though there are three months between the start of the Nordschleife season at the end of March and the season highlight at the 24h Nürburgring, fans can secure their personal ticket now. New this year: tickets are available throughout online at the 24-hour ticket shop during the event weekend. With the electronic admission ticket on your cell phone, you can also enter the track. Another new feature for visitors is the option of securing their parking space in advance: there are parking spaces available in the D9 area (near the Nürburg), for which a continuous parking permit can be purchased from Thursday to Sunday parking permit can be purchased from Thursday to Sunday. And the trip to the Ring is worthwhile on all these days! Because from Corpus Christi Thursday (June 19th) they will experience a huge program on the longest race track in the world. In addition to the 24-hour race, the Circuit Challenge power test (Thursday) and the 24-hour classic race (Saturday) will also provide plenty of drama. The Grand Prix circuit will be the venue for entertaining hours with the touring car legend race and the cup and touring car trophy. In addition to the race program, highlights such as the traditional Adenauer Racing Day on Wednesday will also be entertaining. And, of course, the Falken Drift Show will be back on Friday evening, taking place on the Müllenbach loop at the same time as the big autograph session and the pit walk at the start and finish line.

Comfortable and stress-free: 24-hour camping for “Family & Friends”

18.03.2025

There is now a special area for camping fans who want to experience the Nürburgring 24 Hours without time-consuming queuing and in a relaxed environment. In the C3 camping area, you can reserve a 10 x 5 meter plot in advance and enjoy the advantages there. As with a concert hall plan, you can see the place where you can experience the 24-hour event in the immediate vicinity of the Goodyear hairpin bend when you book. In addition to electricity, which is provided via distribution cabinets and is included, there are nearby water points and a shower and toilet block within walking distance. You can also arrive or depart at any time from Wednesday to Sunday. It is also possible to leave the pitch in the meantime by car or motorhome without losing your reserved pitch. The area is particularly suitable for families, as you can, for example, only move into your reserved pitch on Friday, can rely on the night's rest being strictly enforced from 22:00 and can use the specially set up DSK shuttle bus stop to be taken to the paddock or the Nordschleife free of charge. The reservation costs for Wednesday to Sunday of 100 euros for a maximum of eight people are charged in addition to the usual camping fees and ticket costs, but these are only payable for the days that you are actually on site. The “Family & Friends Camping” pitches are already sold out.

Nürburgring has a full calendar of events in 2025

12.03.2025

Ready for a full-throttle 2025: the engines will finally start up at the Nürburgring in March. And once again, the event calendar is full to bursting: 60 events make the Eifel race track a worthwhile destination for many good reasons well into the fall. Racing spectacle, festival summer, comedy evening or family outing: the Nürburgring will make hearts beat faster again this year. They belong to the Ring as much as the champagne shower on the podium: crowd-pullers such as the Nürburgring 24 Hours, the DTM, Rock am Ring, the Truck Grand Prix and the Oldtimer Grand Prix will once again attract hundreds of thousands of visitors to the Eifel this year. A fast-paced mix that includes around 60 public events between March and November alone. Major events alternate with hands-on motor sports and small after-work pleasures, such as the Nürburgring cycling and running club or the Afterwork Classics. One of the highlights will be the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring. On the Corpus Christi weekend (June 19-22), well over 100 race cars will take on the ultimate challenge: 24 hours non-stop on the most demanding track in the world. A spectacle – also because of its passionate fans. Tens of thousands will be camping along the track, creating the unique atmosphere of the Ring. One new feature this year is a particularly family-friendly camping option in the new Family & Friends area. If you enjoy the thrilling and close racing on the Nordschleife, there are many other opportunities to experience racing action in the Green Hell throughout the year at the ADAC Nürburgring Endurance Series and the RCN circuit racing challenge. The International ADAC Truck Grand Prix is also a real experience. For decades, Germany's truckers have been celebrating Christmas with country music, camping and fast-paced racing. This year, the truckers will be on the loose from July 11 to 13. The traditional music festival has recently undergone a rejuvenation. The revamped Saturday evening program now features well-known party artists, and affordable single-day tickets are available for this event. Europe's most famous racing series, the DTM (August 8-10), will once again be a guest on the Nürburgring's sprint track – and will shine with a wide variety of brands, familiar faces and thrilling racing. Or how about a journey back in time to the last century of motorsport? With the Nürburgring Classic (June 13-15), the BELMOT Oldtimer Grand Prix (August 1-3) and the ADAC 1000 km race (September 20-21), three events are dedicated to historic racing cars. Indoor events from comedy to sportsThere will be plenty of laughter and celebration off the track this year: Comedian Carolin Kebekus will be making a guest appearance in the ring°arena in the fall (September 20) with her celebrated Shesus tour. NightWash Live will also be bringing stand-up comedy to the Nürburgring again this year, on November 15. And at Darts am Ring, some of the world's best dart throwers will transform the ring°arena into a madhouse together with many celebrating darts fans on March 29 – just like at the big role model, the Ally Pally. The Nürburgring Family Day on October 26 and the Job Fair on November 7 and 8 round off the indoor highlights. And because the Nürburgring is not just about watching, other hands-on events are looking forward to motivated participants. Whether on two wheels at Rad am Ring (July 18-20), on foot at the Hotfoot Run (May 10), or with the powerful Gargenschatz at GRIP - das Motorevent (July 6). Speaking of garage treasures: Numerous tourist driving days are planned again for all petrol heads, during which anyone can drive on the ring. The Nordschleife and Grand Prix circuit will open their barriers on well over 100 days.

Timetables for 24h and 24h Qualifiers published

13.12.2024

Before the end of the year, the organisers of the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring published the timetable for the major event from 19–22 June 2025. This means that everyone involved – active participants, fans and, of course, the organisers themselves – can start planning for the coming year early. As usual, the program will be extensive and will once again offer everything from historic racing to high-tech cars in the 24-hour field, providing exciting motorsport on the legendary Nordschleife. The timetable for the ADAC 24h Nürburgring Qualifiers from May 24th to 25th, 2025 has also been published. The Prologue weekend, the season highlight of the 24h four weeks later, will also be part of the NLS (Nürburgring Endurance Series) next year, ensuring numerous attractive entries and exciting racing in the two four-hour races. The schedules are now available on the 24h race homepage. The biggest change in the program of the legendary 24h race awaits spectators during the practice days on Thursday and Friday. As usual, the Thursday program will be dominated by the two 24-hour qualifying sessions, which together take up more than five hours of time. In the evening battle for the best lap times, the first 15 minutes are reserved exclusively for the SP9 participants – the GT3 racing cars. Only after that is the track open to all participants for the atmospheric night qualifying session, which lasts until 23:30. Traditionally, this is the first atmospheric highlight of the event weekend. The reason for this change in detail can be explained by looking at the Friday program: the top qualifying session, in which the fastest participants fight for pole position in a single time trial, is scheduled for midday. Those responsible for the regulations are currently working on a new, simplified mode for this part of qualifying, which is to be adopted by the time the announcement is published in January. The plan is to create a process that provides additional transparency and thus increases the sporting excitement. The third qualifying session will then take place on Friday afternoon, where the focus will be on the participants who are fighting for the starting positions behind the fastest cars in the field. For them, the new qualification mode will bring increased attention. Key points for an attractive supporting program have been setIt won't just be the 24-hour sessions that keep the crowds glued to the track during the season's highlight; the supporting program, the sporting part of which has now also been finalized, will ensure that. The highlight, of course, continues to be the ADAC 24h-Classic. The huge field of youngtimers and Anhang-K classic cars will be causing a stir on the track for two and a half hours on Saturday morning. The first races will take place much earlier, namely on Thursday: after the traditional warm-up with the RCN (Rundstrecken Challenge Nürburgring) performance test in the morning, the touring car legends will kick off the action with the first of a total of three races. The battles between the racing cars from the former DTM, STW and other legendary series on the Grand Prix circuit are undoubtedly among the crowd favorites. The Cup and Touring Car Trophy will also hold their first race on Thursday. On Friday, both series will then frame the qualifying sessions of the 24-hour race and the 24-hour Classic race with further races. On Saturday, there will be another touring car legends race before the starting signal is given at 4:00 p.m. for the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring! In addition to the sporting events, many other highlights are planned for the 2025 supporting program. After all, program items such as the Falken Drift Show on Friday evening or the big autograph session with all the teams are just as much a must for numerous visitors as the show acts during the starting lineup or the numerous attractions throughout the event grounds. Two NLS races upgrade 24h QualifiersThe ADAC 24h Nürburgring Qualifiers from May 23rd to 25th, 2025 not only form the prologue for the actual 24h a month later. The two four-hour races on Saturday and Sunday will also count as the fourth and fifth rounds of the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS). This increases the sporting value and should ensure a full field of participants. Visitors will also experience more action on the track: the race weekend will kick off with three hours of testing and setup sessions on Friday afternoon. After qualifying for the first four-hour race on Saturday afternoon (start: 5:30 p.m.), the track will be the RCN's for three and a half hours. On Sunday, it's one thing after another: after qualifying in the morning, the fastest teams go into top qualifying and thus into the battle for pole position. At 1:00 p.m., the starting field is then sent into the second qualifier race of the weekend - which not only promises NLS points, but also the very last test under competitive conditions before the 24-hour race in June.

Like all other tickets, it is Print & Home tickets are now also available as an alternative. From 2025, tickets can also be stored on mobile devices. This allows ticket sales to continue in the online store up to the days of the event. Visitors can also purchase tickets on the spot via their mobile device. After scanning the tickets, the familiar visitor wristbands will continue to be issued as tickets. As soon as the ticket code has been scanned, the code will no longer be valid. Parking and camping can be booked in advance from JanuaryIt has long been tradition for visitors to organize themselves around the Nordschleife – the many groups and individual visitors turn the longest racetrack world into a gigantic festival site that is extremely atmospheric. There, first come, first served also applies. This tradition will continue in the future, but the range of offers at the world's biggest race is growing: from 2025, the new “Family&Friends Area” will be available on parking area C3 at the Müllenbachschleife. There will be camping and tickets at an all-inclusive price for all visitors who prefer a quieter environment during the event – also ideal for families with children. For example, private generators are not allowed in this area; instead, an “all-inclusive package” with electricity, sanitary facilities and Wi-Fi is being planned. The offer will also be bookable online in good time before the Nürburgring 24 Hours. In the past, visitors have often expressed the wish to reserve parking spaces, for which the technical requirements have now been created: in 2025, there will be a limited opportunity to book a parking space in advance. The advantage of the Nürburg site is that visitors arriving there have the opportunity to avoid the traffic congestion around the start and finish. For the first time, all parking tickets will also be equipped with a code that is scanned at the entrance. The aim is to achieve an improvement in terms of arrival, spectator guidance and parking management. Tickets are expected to be available for booking from mid-January. Prices for the 24h Qualifiers will remain the sameTickets for the ADAC 24h Nürburgring Qualifiers from May 24th to 25th, 2025, went on sale online at the same time as tickets for the 24h Nürburgring. The big 24-hour prologue will continue to be part of the NLS, which means additional participants, greater variety and even more action. Next year, the ticket regulations will also be aligned with those of the NLS. Accordingly, there will be ticket checks at the fan hotspots at the Nordschleife in the future, and camping visitors will also incur costs. In line with the NLS, day visitors will pay 25 euros for an admission ticket that is valid at the Nordschleife, in the paddock and all open grandstands. Nürburgring gives outlook on the 2025 annual calendar

04.09.2024

With the current season still in full swing at the Nürburgring, the race track and event location is already giving a preview of the coming year. From international highlights to event exotics and from motorsport to entertainment, the 2025 calendar once again promises the unique Nürburgring mix. A current overview: Exciting motorsport highlights in the Green HellNaturally, the world's longest permanent race track is also characterised by an attractive motorsport calendar in 2025. Particularly popular with fans: endurance motorsport on the Nordschleife. The highlight is the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring, which will once again put man and machine to the ultimate test from 19 to 22 June 2025 and promise a gigantic motorsport party together with tens of thousands of fans. As usual, the ADAC Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS) will kick off the motorsport year. After the first race on 22 March, eight more race days will follow until October, each of which usually falls on a Saturday. Only on 13 and 14 September are two race days scheduled on one weekend for the NLS and therefore also the only race Sunday in the series. The dates of the Nürburgring Rundstrecken Challenge (RCN) are another Nordschleife format on the calendar. Regularity and performance tests offer popular sport from road-legal to race-ready vehicles. From GT3 to XXL: thrilling motorsport from racing cars to race trucksFans of thrilling motorsport will once again get their money's worth on the Grand Prix circuit. The giants of motorsport will compete against each other on the sprint version of the International ADAC Truck Grand Prix from 10 - 13 July. Every year, the event delights visitors with a family-friendly concept of motorsport, festival, colourful paddock and trade fair. Included in the supporting programme: the ADAC GT Masters. The Fanatec GT World Challenge (29 - 31 August) and the Porsche Sports Cup (30 May - 1 June) will feature high-quality racing cars from the world's best-known automotive brands. The Nürburgring Drift Cup, which will host its first round on 26 and 27 April, and GRIP - the motor event that will attract the tuning community to the Eifel on 6 July, are also high on horsepower and, above all, action-packed drifting. The date for the DTM at the Nürburgring has already been finalised. However, fans will have to wait a little longer before the announcement. The racing series will present its annual calendar in the coming days. Experiences with music and muscle powerAway from the roaring sounds of engines, powerful guitar riffs await at the beginning of June. Rock am Ring will get visitors' hearts racing from 6 to 8 June. According to the recently published first wave of bands, ‘Slipknot’ and ‘Bring me the Horizon’ have already been confirmed as headliners for the festival's 40th anniversary alongside other well-known bands. A similar-sounding event name, but with a completely different intention, can be found in the 2025 calendar with Rad am Ring. In mid-July, thousands of tireless participants will once again take to the start line to conquer the Green Hell with their own muscle power. Incidentally, this is also required for the Hotfoot Run - but not on two wheels, but on foot. The obstacle course takes place on 10 May. Fast-paced PS classics in racing actionThe heroes and automotive jewels of days gone by have also once again secured several permanent places on the Ring calendar. Old and youngtimers and memories of many decades of motorsport will be brought to life on the Grand Prix circuit and the Nordschleife. The Nürburgring Classic will kick off 2025 from 13 to 15 June. This will be followed in August by the BELMOT Oldtimer Grand Prix (1st - 3rd) and the legendary ADAC 1000km race from 20th to 21st September. The ADAC RGB season finale, the ADAC Westfalen Trophy and, last but not least, the Kölner Kurs as a historic motorbike event round off the historic programme. Motorbike service and racing on two wheelsSpeaking of motorbikes: after returning to the Nürburgring this year, the International Motorcycle Championship (IDM) is also on the calendar for the coming season. From 5 to 7 September, the series will kick off with thrilling two-wheel racing. There will be impressive pictures of thousands of motorbikes off the racing line at the ‘Anlassen’ motorbike service on 27 April. One of the highlights of the programme: the joint parade around the legendary Nordschleife. Diverse indoor events: entertainment away from the racetrackThe Nürburgring also continues to see a steady increase in events away from the tarmac. And so the 2025 season in the Green Hell starts and ends with indoor events throughout the year. The International Rhine Shiai Karate Tournament will kick off the season on the second weekend in January, while the German Carnival Garda Dance Championship will be the event finale in December. Both events will take place in the ring°arena, as will two cheerleading competitions on 15 and 16 February and the ‘Darts am Ring’ gala in March. The latter is set to become the undisputed fan magnet in the indoor calendar with over 3,000 fans expected. The exact date for the flying darts event will be announced shortly. Further music and entertainment formats at the Nürburgring venues are also scheduled for next year. Comedy at NightWash live, the Nürburgring Family Day and a colourful afternoon at the Disney Channel cinema have been decided for 2025 and will soon be added to the calendar.
