Bright sunshine, thousands of motorcycles, and an incomparable atmosphere: the traditional “Anlassen” event at the Nürburgring was once again a resounding success this year. In perfect weather, around 42,000 bikers transformed the Ring into the roaring heart of the motorcycle scene and celebrated the start of the new two-wheel season together. In addition to the entire paddock, the AMG Arena of the Grand Prix circuit also served as an additional parking area for the large number of motorcycles – both areas were completely filled and made for an impressive sight. From 8:00 a.m. onwards, visitors on two wheels flocked to the Eifel region to get in the mood for the day with a varied program: whether at the Safety Demo by POLO, the impressive demonstrations by the state police and the ADAC Driver Safety Center at the Nürburgring, or with mini bikes. Guided tours took place in parallel on the sprint track of the Grand Prix circuit and were very well received. Social commitment was also in the spotlight: visitors could do a good deed by donating blood in the blood donation mobile or register as stem cell donors with the Stefan Morsch Foundation. Meanwhile, the band “der nächste bitte” provided a great atmosphere with their live music. The highlights of the day were the traditional ecumenical service, during which Pastor Klaus Kohnz, Pastor Rüdiger Wink, and Auxiliary Bishop Jörg Peters gave their blessing for a safe motorcycle season. As always, the emotional finale was the joint parade around the legendary Nordschleife: thousands of motorcycles set off and rode the most famous 20.832 kilometers in the world – a spine-tingling moment that perfectly reflected the special atmosphere of “Anlassen.” “It's just great how many motorcycle enthusiasts have come to the Nürburgring again this year to celebrate their passion at Anlassen. The peaceful atmosphere and this incredible sea of motorcycles create a unique atmosphere. This makes the motorcycle service a real highlight every year – not only for visitors but also for us employees,” said Nürburgring Managing Director Ingo Böder. Brilliant sunshine at the Nürburgring and thrilling racing once again delighted numerous spectators at the ADAC Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie. Victory at the premiere of the ADAC Ruhrpott-Trophy went to Dorian Boccolacci and Alessio Picariello from Falken Motorsports. Driving a Porsche 911 GT3 R, the duo crossed the finish line with a comfortable margin of 30.751 seconds ahead of Christian Krognes and Mattia Drudi in the Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo from Walkenhorst Motorsport, who finished second. Completing the podium were Augusto Farfus, ‘Jesse Krohn’, Raffaele Marciello, and Kelvin Van der Linde in the BMW M4 GT3 Evo from ROWE Racing. Pole position was secured for the second time in a row by Frank Stippler – once again in the Audi R8 LMS from JUTA RACING and not in the brand-new Ford Mustang GT3 from Haupt Racing Team. Veteran Stippler also dominated the first stint of the four-hour race, maintaining the lead – but only until lap seven. After that, the two Falken Porsches took control. Tim Heinemann and Dennis Marshall, in the sister car to the eventual winners, dropped back due to a pit stop issue, and in the final lap, Boccolacci had to concede the lead to Krognes in the Aston Martin. However, fortune smiled on the Falken team: the Walkenhorst duo received a time penalty for undershooting the minimum pit stop time and were ultimately classified second. The ROWE Racing quartet won a thrilling battle for third place against the Scherer Sport PHX Porsche 911 GT3 R. Patric Niederhauser and Patrick Pilet finished fourth in the team from Meuspath’s debut with the Porsche 911. Heinemann and Marshall crossed the line fifth, ahead of the Ferrari 296 GT3 from REALIZE KONDO RACING with Rinaldi. "Last time I was already happy with second place at my first GT3 race in the Green Hell, and now I'm on the top step of the podium – I’m very happy," said Boccolacci. "Because of the penalty, I didn’t have to take full risks on the final lap." His teammate Picariello praised him: "Dorian has had an incredibly steep learning curve, going from a podium in race one to winning his second race. Brilliant." Despite missing out on the win, Krognes was satisfied: "It’s a very good start to the new season for me." For Drudi, NLS2 marked his first race in an Aston Martin on the legendary Nordschleife. The new Porsche 911 GT3 has set an impressive lap time on the Nürburgring Nordschleife. Factory driver and Porsche brand ambassador Jörg Bergmeister completed the 20.832-kilometer circuit in 6:56.294 minutes. The lap was conducted under notarial supervision and with street-legal Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires. All record drives and further information The vehicle used was equipped with the optional Weissach package and had a six-speed manual transmission. The 911 GT3 is powered by a 4.0-litre high-revving naturally aspirated engine with 375 kW (510 hp). The time achieved is more than three seconds faster than that of the previous model with PDK. The first ADAC Ruhrpott-Trophy takes place this Saturday, April 26, 2025. The event, organized by ADAC Westfalen and MSC Ruhr-Blitz-Bochum, marks the second of ten rounds in the 2025 ADAC Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie. The race lineup is literally a full house of aces and kings—the preliminary entry list features 140 entries. And there’s more than just the race to talk about: a variety of topics deserve more than a footnote. The support program also impresses with auto and youth kart slalom, offering variety and entertainment. Tickets for the race are available from €25 at VLN.de/tickets. Admission is free for children up to 14 years of age. For those unable to attend in person, the entire race day will be livestreamed here. Cars from 16 different manufacturers will be driven by 357 drivers from 28 nations, including 17 super sports cars in the GT3 SP9 class. Two teams will be entering the "top class" of NLS for the first time this year. The ring°arena at Nürburgring was buzzing with excitement last Saturday evening as 3,500 fans gathered to celebrate the latest edition of “Darts am Ring.” Amidst colorful costumes, euphoric chants, and electrifying matches, darts legend Raymond van Barneveld emerged victorious – a highlight of an evening filled with top-tier sports entertainment. Joining the Dutch champion on stage were some of the biggest names in the darts world: World Champion Rob Cross, fan-favorite “The Rockstar” Joe Cullen, Dirk van Duijvenbode, and local heroes Martin Schindler and Gabriel Clemens. In fast-paced, high-tension “Best-of-Seven” matches, the audience celebrated every point with unbridled enthusiasm. Curtain up for the 53rd edition of the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring from June 19th to 22nd, 2025: The opening event of the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie (NLS) on the penultimate weekend in March was the overture to an epic in many acts at the legendary Nürburgring-Nordschleife. This year, the strongest GT3 teams, drivers and makes will compete for the coveted 24-hour trophy at the longest race track in the world, which at over 25 km is longer than any other race track in the world. Highlights include the first act in the ADAC 24h Nürburgring Qualifiers (May 24th-25th) and, of course, the finale furioso in the actual 24h Nürburgring, which is likely to be even more colorful and diverse than before. In addition to the established teams of the German premium manufacturers Audi, BMW, Mercedes-AMG and Porsche, teams with GT3s from Aston Martin, Ferrari, Ford and Lamborghini will be making their mark this year. The action at the opening race showed that the supposed “exotic” and “underdogs” are in the thick of the action and will have a say in the awarding of the top positions. If you want to secure your box seat for this spectacle, you can do so now. At the NLS opener, a defending champion was initially in the spotlight. Frank Stippler secured pole position in the Audi R8 LMS GT3 from Juta Racing and showed what is still possible in the already somewhat older GT from Ingolstadt. He led a very colorful field into the warm-up lap before the start: eight different brands took the top ten positions in the first NLS qualifying session of the season. Stippler, for example, was joined on the grid by the Walkenhorst-Aston Martin GT3, followed in rows two and three by the McLaren 720S GT3 from Dörr Motorsport and the Ferrari 296 GT3 from Kondo Racing / Rinaldi. Lamborghini, Mercedes-AMG, BMW, Porsche lined up behind them – a real feast of what are currently arguably the most beautiful sports cars. In the race, it was the top dogs that set the tone: Porsche achieved a clean quadruple victory, with the two Falken 911s ahead of the Manthey team's “Grello” and the 911 GT3R from Dinamic GT. Effective immediately, the prestigious first corner of the Grand Prix track will bear the name “RAVENOL-S.” Additionally, RAVENOL owns a VIP lounge at the Nürburgring, serves as the official lubricant partner of the Nürburgring Driving Academy, and lends its name to the “RAVENOL Media Center.” This extensive partnership will run until at least 2028. Spectators at motorsport events at the Nürburgring will now have their eyes on the RAVENOL-S.
